I wanna know if you prefer Vanessa's songs with the band or only in the piano...

Cases like " Unsung and Private Radio " is better with the band...

WITH the band!
When it's just her, she's glued to the piano.
When the band is playing she can get up, move around, have some fun like with Sway & Paint It Black.

I think it depends on the song.  Some of them are beautiful with just the piano, but then again, I have to say that San Francisco is awesome with the drums...

I really did like the band though.  I hope that she can get at least Nate and Sasha back if she goes touring again, because those two were great.

I'm going to say without the band.  The concerts with just her, her piano, and her fans just seems so awesome.  She can always go around with a band on another round.  I want to experience one of these super intimate concerts for myself.  They seem so cool from what I've been hearing.

I so want to go to the ones way on the east coast, but simply can't.  I can't afford it.  I'm trying to go to three of them here on the west coast.

I'm going to spend what money I have on several copies of harmonium rather than airfare.

I think it's impossible to sing PRIVATE RADIO only with piano.. It needs all the band help

I haven't heard the album yet so I can't tell if it is better on the album or just on piano, but I hope she just plays it on piano for this tour.  She seems to have alot of time for fans, and is making alot of her fans happy.  Please just sit there and talk to us, play random classical tidbits, and try to write songs in front of us, in between songs.  :)

without. I like hearing the song the way they were written. You can hear the songs with a band on the CDs. I like the live shows to be unique. I always wanted to be at her old show where it was just her and the piano and now I can.

I would have to say that there are a few songs that probably wouldn't sound as full without a band, but then there are definitely those where the band can just go backstage, read a book, booze it up, whatever they want to do and we have her all to ourselves.  Several of her songs tend to get more intimate that way.

after seeing her last weekend without her band...i say without...i liked the set much better
