Vanessa Carlton on vinyl? I have searched every resource I have from time to time and I have been persistently unable to find Vanessa's voice or music etched into a piece of plastic. Why is this? Or better, has anyone else located any?
Other artists are easy to find: Every single Avril Lavigne or Maroon 5 have put out is available on vinyl. Even Britney and Christina are available. Green Day's LPs are all on vinyl too, but that calls back to their indie days. A(lmost a)ll good punk/alt-rock bands stay on vinyl even after they go major-label.
But anyway, where's my Vanessa record????

I've never seen popalbums in vinyl.
To be honest the only shop i know that selles albums on vinyl is the Metal Store and they dont sell Vanessa's albums.

Most pop LPs I don't believe are on vinyl, but singles are still very common on vinyl. Just not Vanessa. Just go to your Tower Music or similar store and have a look-see at what all is available on vinyl.

I think the main reason is that UMG does zero vinyl, while others like Warners still do. I'm not 100% sure. As vinyl began to fall in popularity, the quality of pressings went seriously south, and therefore I, an analog freak, hopped off the bandwagon.
Those singles are most likely pressed for jukeboxes.

Yes, most singles in America are made primarily for jukeboxes, because a lot of diners and other places still have their vintage machines - it's part of the charm. That's why picture sleeves are so rare now, though. Once it goes in the jukebox, all you see is the little tag on the selection menu and, on most models, the record itself while it's playing. (I loathe the machines that don't show you the record while it's playing!)
But not all pressing quality has diminished. For example, the White Stripes' 'Elephant' LP was pressed on two discs, though it could have easily fit on one, for the deeper grooves and lower noise possible by putting less on each side. Most of my other newer vinyl is excellent or near excellent in manufacture also, though it does seem more common to get ahold of a bowl-shaped disc or a disc with little white specks pressed into it these days.

I haven't seen it anywhere else!
