I want to know this, too, but I'm guessing it'll be awhile until we have any idea.

Eartraining is the key. Once you've mastered that, you'll never need sheet music again. It's a cheaper proposition as well.

My guess is that we can expect the piano book out shortly before Christmas...the BNN book seems to have come out about a month after the CD was released, according to Amazon, so a December release seems reasonable for the Harmonium sheets.

i wish i could figure out songs by ear that would be so cool... and if harmonium comes out in december thats earlier than i thought it would be so thats good!

It's from the Third Eye Blind DVD. She's "modeling" this big fluffy jacket that the guitarist wears a lot.

I SO wish I could pick out V's stuff by ear, but I just can't.  Especially since there are parts where you can't hear the piano.  I'm sure I could sit at the piano and figure it out but... right now I'm just too lazy, LOL.  I'm just gonna wait until the book comes out.  :D

Yeah, thanks for doing that... Steve, right? I have your copy but I haven't printed or played it yet. The intro is exactly what I had. We notated the rhythm the same way too. Funny thing is, I have never seen pop music with that type of rhythm, but I use it a lot in my own originals.  Do you know of any published pop songs with that type of compound-versus-duple rhythm, that I could use for reference for notating my own music?

The official sheet music for White Houses now seems to be available:

http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/book.asp?ppn=bkhl352834&bookmark=0&who=basic&Only=H

Unfortunately, we can't preview the actual music yet, but it's interesting that it says it's 12 pages...I don't recally any transcriptions on this forum taking up that much space....I suppose it has something to do with the way that the bass varies from verse to verse...

or they're against the 'repeat sign' method
haha

Looks like the same one that's viewable from the sheetmusicdirect.com website (Hal Leonard publication). It sucks!

yeahh i was at the music store yesterday picking up some diana kralll and i was fishing through the sheet music and found white houses. the version there sucked- i thought it was the easy piano version- but it was the real thing. it was about 5-6 pages if i remember correctly.

You think so? I always think it's so fake to publish sheet music, saying it's real thing, and you come home and start to play an almost complete different song!
