40 Minute Voyage

Put my head on my pillow,
The next moment
I was floating on stardust.
He’s got that smile that slices through my fog.
Only wants to be the best he can dream to be with me.
Feet planted on the ground,
with a heart floating us through the heavens.
Knows that nothing always means something.
No need to consult the magic eight-ball.
I can just close my eyes and just linger in the illusion.
He’s just a dream I had one night.
When I hear that tune,
It is as if he’s singing my desperation.
I sing: “Oh oh la ooh oh,” he’s strumming my desire.
He sings, ”Ooh ah la la,” feeling what I am.
Our harmony lasts 40 minutes and then I fade to black.
Tomorrow night, he’ll be back.
