hey,
came across this at www.danbrown.com just now (FAQ section) :
Favorite music?
I've recently become hooked on the Spanish singer Franco de Vita. I also listen to The Gypsy Kings, Enya, Sarah Mclachlan, and (if I'm feeling old) the very young and talented songwriter Vanessa Carlton.
how cool is that?!
P.S: YOU MUST READ THE DA VINCI CODE!
-
And Sarah McLachlan
Guy has good taste. Now if I could only tell him about Terra (http://www.terranaomi.com) too . . .
-
that is VERY VERY cool!!
-
Not only does he write great books, he has a great taste in music. Rock on, Dan Brown!
-
COOOOL!!!
I love Franco de Vita!!!!! I will buy every book by Dan Brown just cus of that. But I love the Da vinci code!
-
awesome

I wish people wouldn't. Too many people take his historical background as the truth. Yes, the Gnostics say Mary married Jesus. No, the royal famlies of Europe didn't come from bloodline of this alleged union. No, da Vinci wasn't involved with the templars. Blah blah blah........
As a Biblical and Crusades history buff, the book annoys me.

8O My opinion of Dan Brown has now been raised.
-
What do they have in common? (Vanessa and Dan Brown I mean)
They both like John Steinbeck!
-
well.. they are both VERY talented in their field and have inspired people through their profession ^_^
-
Yay for V being mentioned!! What's that book about anyway? I see it in stores everywhere, but I've no clue what it's about. Anybody wanna clue me in?

It's about this ancient secret protected since Jesus's day that says he was married to Mary Magdelene and they had a child together. The evidence was painted in The Last Supper by Leonardo DaVinci, who supposedly knew the secret and painted it into the painting on purpose.
I don't know if it's like trying to crack the mystery or whatever, I just know that that's the basis of the book. I never actually read it.

Everybody who hasn't read it yet: READ IT!!! It's absolutely brilliant and even a person like me, who doesn't read a lot, read it within a week :D
I think Dan should ask Vanessa to write a song for the upcoming flick of the book. It would be a great boost for her career, since almost the whole world has read it and it will be a definite hit :)

Da Vinci Code was ok...but was definitely, DEFINITELY the MOST overrated book of 2004.
-
i liked DaVinci code, but Angels and Demons was way better.

True. Most people don't even realize that Angles and Demons is a prequel to Da Vinci Code.
