Well, it's not like we expected it, but the Grammy nods are out and Vanessa wasn't nominated for a one.  here's a link to the site for a complete list.

Is Harmonium even eligible? I don't think it makes the cut off.

oh, ok.  I thought White Houses might be eligible because it was technically released in August.  So there might be some hope that if another single was successful next year Harmonium may get nominated.  Here's to wishful thinking.

I never heard anything by Groban or anything recent from Mayer, but I'm talking talking about shit like Usher's Confessions. That album blows. The Black Eyed Peas' "Let's Get Retarded,""Heaven" by Los Lonley Boys for Record of the Year? WTF?!

shame!!     John's new single "Daughters" is huge in the US now apparently.  It's actually not my favorite song though.  And everything Josh Groban makes is amazing *sighs*

Evanescence has been nominated for a GRAMMY AWARD in the Best Pop Performance (Duo or Group) Category for "My Immortal."
It would be great if they got to win 2 years in a row.

Even if Harmonium was eligible this year, I don't think it is deserving of a Grammy. Although, it is certainly more deserving than most of the nominations....

I don't know how Gwen Stefani is eligible since her album was released AFTER Harmonium  :?

The single hit radio in August. Therefore it is eligible.

EDIT: Fuck, has it been out that long?

I totally agree, as much as I think Harmonium was really weak, it was way better than Usher's album.

Indeed. :)

I think that Harmonium is indeed a stronger album than BNN, though, so I think it's deserving of at least as many Grammys. However, I think it may be for the best that it missed the cut off; if the second and third singles are more popular, it should have a better shot then.

Let's wait for next year's Grammys... I hope she gets nominated or something.

Well well....

I think that what happened to BNN was the speed that it got famous, not just the quality, but i presume that popularity counts a lot for the grammy!

Unfortunately Harmonium isn't doing the same success (at least not in Brazil), but the quality is incridible....I speak not just as fan but as piano player too, the songs got complex and beautifully arranjed.

Is such sad Harmonium not beeing nominated, but well....honestly, I don't think Grammy really goes for the best....

My Goshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal
(For established duos or groups, with vocals. Singles or Tracks only.)

My Immortal
Evanescence
Track from: Fallen
[Wind-up Records, LLC]

Now I'm happy

It's too bad that Vanessa Cartlon, Nelly Furtado, Natalie Imbruglia and Dido weren't called out.... But I can be happy with only EVANESCENCE.......

Doh... poor V.  But as long as she's okeay with it, I'll be okeay with it.  She still deserves it though... out of all those people on that list, I think she deserves it the most.  Maybe the next CD then?

We should all just blame CBS and their unproffessional critics               lol

Someone needs to be blaimed

I still can't shake off the terrible memory of Norah stealing all Vanessas grammys. Burn in Hell CBS!

Kanye West is so horrible. I'm almost happy that she's not nominated for an award that tooks such a silly artist 10 times on their nomineelists. But mayve next year or next album. I think the third one will run better cos i hope that they know how destroyable pushing back an anlbum 5000 times is.

BNN was better than Harmonium by a long shot. I don't see how anyone would be shocked that it didn't get nominated. :|

Seriously, you have to be kidding... I've seen the guy live, with Talib Kweli, and he rocked the house! My boyfriend is a real hiphop fan, he isn't a 'gangsta' or anything in that direction ;), and even he was surprised by his skills. And he produced some real cool stuff like Alicia Keys latest record, and come on, that one turned out really great... :)

Oh yeah, and JM really should win for Daughters, it such a sweet song! :D
