Title: Some American Help!
Post by: rosieposy87 on February 06, 2005, 04:55:31 am
Wow, bet you thought you'd never see me write that! hehe.

My boyfriend was brought up on American culture- and so loves all of the American food etc etc. Trouble is, you can't get any of it here. I have looked online everywhere particularly for Toaster Strudel and Lucky Charms but i can't find anywhere to buy it from and to get it posted here. I want to get him some stuff for Valentines Day/his birthday.

So i was wondering, does anyone know anywhere i can buy this stuff? Or any really typical american food? And if i can't find anywhere to buy it, if anyone would be really kind and send me some stuff (i'd pay you through paypal or through the mail)? Any suggestions are helpful!

Rosie :rosie: (hehe, any excuse)

Toaster strudel is frozen!? :rosie: (okay, but it actually was appropriate there!) Oh that is really VERY annoying.

And Joann, i cannot bring myself to wear a Bush t-shirt. Mainly as i will fear for my safety. Actually, people might think its an ironic statement...

hmm i was able to find this (http://www.minimus.biz/detail.aspx?ID=679) - it might be a little more expensive to ship to England, but it's only $0.69 which can't amount to much in euros. :-)

I can understand the situation.  I've taken a liking to foods like Sanitarium Marmite, Weet-Bix, and a chocolate drink from NestlĂ© called Milo.
(http://how.weet-bix.co.nz/images/pack-shot.jpg)(http://www.silverfernz.com/ProdImages/food/marmitep.jpg)(http://www.boise.co.nz/office_supplies/images/2204940.jpg)
Marmite and Weet-Bix I can get shipped in by UPS from stores either in Arkansas or Texas.  Fortunately, I have a cheaper alternative to source Milo:  It's available here in some of the larger groceries in the Hispanic aisle.

I can top that! I could send the Lucky charms with an ANTI-bush shirt...and a cute little anti-bush wristband. :)

yea, the toaster strudel is frozen, then toasted...and they're really good!!

you might be able to find a store's website and see if they'll ship them to you.

so Toaster Strudel is just a Pop Tart for richer people? I'm not an expert in sweets. They look just like Pop Tarts.
