There seem to be a never ending string of car crashes here in New Zealand and while I've been offline (last three weeks while I've been moving house for those of you who didn't know or notice that I was gone) my friend in my class was killed in a car accident. The driver of the car was not killed but she was. They were driving along a state highway and a person pulled out to pass a truck and crashed head on into them coming the other way. She had a very warm heart and her smile will be dearly missed. I ask all of you to pray for her family and friends and drive carefully. Her funeral is tomorrow It just shows how easy these things can happen.

that really sux. I have to have surgery this month from a head on that happened almost a year ago. I feel for the family. I'm blessed or lucky to be alive.

This is rather ironic as I was just in a driving school last night where we watched one of those bloody films from the sixties with the bodies and the mangled steel in it. It really brought these things to a new level of vividity.

I'm sorry Jen, and I know how much "Im sorry" does nothing. I'd give you a long hug if I could, just know that I'm here if you ever need me.
She will be in my prayers, always.

 I haven't had to face the loss of a close friend so far in my life. Am I fortunate or rather the opposite? I send you my hugs.

You're at that age. I had 2 friends die in HS from car accidents when I was about your age. Luckily, neither was from my closest group of friends but both were guys I hung out with every couple of weeks. It's rough.

it's been four years since my three friends died in a drunk driving accident but it hurts more now than it did then. It gets better sometimes, but, you never really get over it. I'm sorry you're going through it too.
