Ok, can anyone tell me why my avatar keeps disappearing when i try and add it. And also why it says I joined the board on the 01 Jan 1970!

It's not a URL I'm uploading it from my hard drive.
Location is:
C:\Documents and Settings\Bam\My Documents\My Pictures
File Name: Unicorn
I'll try adding it again in a minute.
As for the date I joined I can't say I remember, sorry.
Also looking at the member list, both superscientific and nikkee also apparently joined on 01 Jan 1970.
What is going on???

Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB.
the picture also has to be a .jpg or .gif and i forgot the other one.

Ok, I've just set it up and now it's appeared againas my above post shows. Still have the dating problem though.
Does it say 1969 on your screen then?? cos it says 1970 on mine.

That's because you have it set to a UK timezone :) All the US people see 69, we UK people see 70 ;)

Actually no I couldn't, It's the only picture I have which is remotely appropriate and of a suitable size. So it's either that or nothing. If you don't want me to use that unicorn then so be it, I'll get rid of it.

You could shrink one down. I can do it if you don't have the software. Just PM me the one that you want and I'll PM it back avatar sized :)

Alrighty!
Everyone that had a 1969/1970 JOINDATE is now fixed and based on the date of their first post.
If there's any more they will be fixed on a case by case basis.
