Anyone heard them.  The singer is Taryn Manning (acted in Crossroads, White Oleander, and small role in 8 Mile)

Yep, I sure have heard of them!   :)

In fact, earlier this week I received an autograph along with the usual JoJo on the Radio (KIIS-FM Los Angeles) stuff, because I had called JoJo the night they were in the studio (last month).

They are also one of the performers at Wango Tango 2003 at the Rose Bowl, which I will be at  :)

Yep... and in fact, it's "The Wreckoning" with a W!  :)

As they say... "the Boom is the kick and the Kat is the snare drum.  Boomkat!!"   Hehe!

are they with Dreamworks?

okay, I looked it up, they are. I thought the name was familiar. I had never heard the name til Jessica mentioned the other day that Brian was on the road with them right now. Brian is/was Soluna's road manager (guess I should make that make more sense)

Boomkat..., that's a dutch word!

Boom = tree
kat = cat

'Boomkat' is the word we use here for some sort of wild cat.

*goes to check out some songs of this band*

I like their first single "The Wreckoning" and I've read the article about them in last month's Blender.  They're probably pretty cool.  I'll check them out more when I get a chance.

They were so robbed of a HUGE hit, due to the idioticy of top 40..."What You Do To Me" or "Wut U Do 2 Me" is like the greatest ass shaking song EVER!!

The Wreckoning was cool also...I still have them both on my computer!

did the girl sing the "what you do to me" song?

because the fact that she couldn't do it live may have something to do with it...

I love the Wreckoning....but live it was rather ish.
