I need a favor from everyone here.
I need you to pray. Whether you believe in God or not, or pray to a different God than I do, just pray.
A good friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer in Jan. 2004. He's had a rough year; two surgeries and plenty of kemo. This week the doctors found two more tumors, which have caused a blockage of his lower bowel. Either more surgery or more kemo is required; not sure just yet.
His name is Wayne Trible. He's only 40, has a wonderful wife and daughter.
Every prayer counts. Thank you.

I'll be thinking of your friend. I hope he is able to find some relief soon.

thank you for your thoughts and prayers, everyone who's read this post.
just an update on him, he's back in the hospital after being released last week. he'll probably be having the surgery some time Monday. please, just continue to keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
thanks again.

update...
Wayne went through a four hour surgery on Wednesday. The doctors removed 2 feet of intestines, part of his colon, and some other spots that had tumors.
The doctors say that they got 95% of the tumors out. A year or so ago, they said only 60% was removed during his second surgery, so that is a big change. He's got 6 more months of kemo coming up, and hopefully that will get rid of the last 5%.

That's awesome news! I'm so pleased!! I hope everything works put okay for him...

update:
spoke with Wayne this afternoon...
he had a really rough week and weekend last week. he said he felt more pain than anything he's felt since the surgery. he said it was so bad that he actually said goodbye to his wife and daughter not thinking he'd make it through the weekend.
the docs said what he was feeling was a very bad reaction to the kemo.
he's feeling a lot better today, which is great. supposedly the docs are going to lower the dosage a bit, and hopefully he wont have any more bad reactions like last week.
he goes for kemo every other week, so this is his off week.
i let him know about you guys who are praying and he really appreciates it.
thank you. just keep praying for him. this round of kemo is the toughest one he'll have to go through.

He'll definitely be in my prayers.

he's still in my prayers, please let him know that.

That is so sad.
I will pray for him.

I was at Wayne's house on Oct 1st for the Roy Jones vs. Antonio Tarver fight.
he has his ups and his downs. the downs come when he does the kemo (which he has this week).
he seems to be in good spirits, he even came down to the office last friday to visit the peeps here. its been awhile since he had been feeling good enough to do that.
just keep praying. he goes for more tests at the end of this month and hopefully they'll show that the kemo is working and getting rid of the cancer.
