Title: Mod Announcement - Will (m125boy)
Post by: kaysha on May 15, 2005, 10:49:05 pm: Given the recent updates regarding Vanessa, the staff here has spent many days discussing the direction in which we want to take things. Our plans for additional mods were under the assumption and hope that we would be embarking on a new journey with a second single and we had the desire for some massive promotion. With the current state of all things Vanessa, it appears that will not be happening. Therefore we have collectively made the following decisions.

We have chosen to scale down our desire to add two mods and chosen to only add one. We have a great deal of respect for everyone that threw their name in the hat. We were overwhelmed (truthfully) by the people who are interested in helping us here and the skills/experience that everyone has and can bring to the table. We really don't want anyone to get discouraged by not being chosen because each of you are extremely valuable to the overall goal of promoting Vanessa. It took a lot of discussion and looking at the future of the group to identify who at this point in time would best help us achieve that goal.

That being said, ya'll are probably like "Just tell us who the hell it is!"...

I wish for you all to congratulation Will "em one twenty-five boy (http://forums.nessaholics.com/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=123)" (feel free to make fun of the s/n) as the newest member to NH.com staff and mod team. Will has a lot of experience in many areas that will bring assistance to us here. Allow me to name a few:
- His knowledge of all things Vanessa having been a fan for many years
- His knowledge around web development, forum software (specifically phpbb which we run here) and familiarity of Unix
- His knowledge around patents, copyrights and trademarks and ability to research many other issues we may come up against in the future
- His knowledge around coding and programming which will help us develop the vision I have for the street team for us all to ensure Vanessa is successful in all future ventures of hers
- His knowledge about forum moderation in the same manner in which we like to do things here to keep things consistent.
- Lets not forget his persistence organizing VC historic data and rare runes that we all know and love.

If any of you that nominated have any concerns or would like any feedback, please feel free to contact myself or another member of the staff. We will be happy to talk with you about it however the information we share will be limited.
