does anybody have a cleaning lady that does not clean????
-
Um, no...I clean stuff myself.
If I could afford a cleaning lady, I'd definitely think that was annoying, though.
-
I have one, but she cleans great....sorry....that didn't help....

You poor thing. Actually having to clean your own room. 8O How do you live in such a harsh environment.

No, but I do have a deaf girl that can hear!

it´s extremely common in brazil to have a cleaning lady.
but nowdays I see there's nothing better than taking care of your own stuff. Now, with only myself taking care of my dust everything is way more organized.
the previous cleaning lady always meesed my house, kept things in strange places , for example: pencils, pens, erasers in the kitchen drawer , books in the bathroom medicine cabinet, small earrings in plant vases.
Drawers were her favourite place to hide the dirt, we could find anything from tools to important documents all in a handsize drawer lol, talk about optimization of space! it was a nightmare trying to find things. If you wanted your shirt you had to look for it everywhere except in your wardrobe, thats the last place she'd put it lol. it's good not having to play seek and hide with my stuff now that she doesnt work here .

what annoys me is people who have cleaning ladies but clean their house before the cleaning lady gets there.
-

I was always too lazy for that lol
I did meet one woman though ,that used to clean her hotel room before the maid came there to clean it...now that's weird.. 8O

lol she's still not cleaning? lol Lmao!

Oh, I leave my hotel room a damn mess! Well, I try to have the trash at least near the can if it won't fit in it (and it usually doesn't when I travel), but the beds will be a frickin' mess. I never, never, never leave personal items on the bed (like a suitcase or a teddy bear) because most maids will not touch the bed for fear of accusations of damage or theft.

I am kind of a cleaning lady (girl, haha)... I did it with my aunt a little last summer and now I just clean my grandma's house, but I know how it is...
Personally, I wouldn't want a stranger coming in to clean my house. If you just hire the local service, they do a crappy job. My aunt and I did a really awesome job but she was mostly friends with the people we cleaned for.
*note to employers of cleaners* --
1) It's really gross when you get to a tub with pubes and nasty crap in it, especially if it's a gigantic jacuzzi. PLEASE clean that "stuff" out yourself, it's not that hard.
2) If you have a teenage son, make him clean himself because teenage boys are GROSS (especially their bathroom toilet seats) and you know the ladies will appreciate your son more if he is responsible and knows how to keep clean himself. =\
ok, thanks :)

Oh and honestly, if you get to a house to clean and the person has already tidy'd up a bit... that isn't "weird", that is just polite. There is only so much ONE cleaning lady can do in a HUGE house herself in a few hours that we are allotted... I'm not saying actually clean the place beforehand, but organization and putting baby toys and crap away is just polite... Your cleaning lady/person will appreciate and actually probably do a BETTER job where it counts :)

I have a Mexican cleaning woman, and traditionally in Mexico a woman is expected to clean, cook and do chores around the house, she is very hardworking at it, and always gets the house clean in the time alloted, and yesterday she work from about 8:00am in the morning to 5:00pm, I felt so bad, but she didn't complain once, (my mom is such a slave driver)

Well, my family used to have a cleaning lady (actually, there were two). I say "used to" because they messed up our new shower we put in and my parents got really ticked and fired them but aaanyways...
It's not weird to pick stuff up before hand. My mom used to make my brother and I pick up everything off the floor before the cleaning ladies came in. . If anything, it prevents the cleaning people from misplacing your stuff.

True, true, you should always organize things specifically so they have a generally idea of where you you want things to go.
