Well, someone was bound to start a thread about Kelly! What do you all think of her? I am in love! Lol, sad I know.
Everyone thinks that Kelly is a spoilt bitch living on her father's career, but I just don't think that is true. Okay, obviously Kelly is spoilt as she has never had to want for anything, but that doesn't mean she is a bad singer.
I can understand people's perception of her singing from the album "Shut Up!", but in my honest opinion I thought she did really well considering her age. The lyrics were quite mature (In some of the songs, anyway) and the music was listeneable. Stand out tracks would have to have been Disconnected, Come Dig Me Out, Right Here, On The Run and More Than Life Itself.
Of her new CD, "Sleeping in the Nothing", I think she has done an outstanding job and her vocals are tremendous, as well as the lyrics. She talks about mature events (E.g. date rape) and also other more deep and thoughtful issues. Kelly demonstrates her vocal talents amazingly on this record and the writing is just incredible. Each song holds its own. Stand out tracks from "Sleeping in the Nothing" would have to be One Word, Secret Lover, Edge Of Your Atmosphere, Suburbia and Don't Touch Me While I'm Sleeping.
I was just wondering, what do you all think of Kelly and her latest music effort?
