Title: Opening Day ...
Post by: B on March 31, 2003, 11:07:08 pm: Is anyone here a baseball fan other than me? ... Another interesting opening day. Some of the premire pitchers (Glavine, Maddux) get smoked, the Brewers as usual figure out how to lose a game they should win, former Brewer Chad Fox gives up taters and loses a game to (gasp) Tampa Bay, Ken Huckaby does the Triple H running kneedrop on Derek Jeter's shoulder, and the Yankees still win. ... lets see, what else did I miss? ... anyway, what did you guys think? Who are your favorite teams, and favorites to go all the way this year?

Post by: Katia's Lover on April 01, 2003, 10:34:01 am: I'm a Braves fan, and I think the Braves proved yesterday that Maddux is too old. Should have gotten rid of him and Glavine, keeping Millwood. Ah well.

I'm going to stick with the Angels to win it all. They didn't lose much of anyone off their roster, and until someone knocks them off, they're king of the hill.

And considering what happened, in this case it is probably better that he slid headfirst, because I sure as hell wouldn't want a 240 pound catcher dropping his protected knee onto my legs either LOL

It's not that we don't like them, it's just that we know they aren't going to win. Kind of like my hometown Brewers. I like them, but I know they're not going to win it all LOL
