...just walk outside, as the wind starts to blow, leaves swirl, the air taking an unfriendly bite out of the warmth.....run Half a Week through your head. You may agree that it's a perfectly realized song. Stephan's drumming could very well be my march-like gait across NYC streets under overcast skies.
...and just as the "autumn years" refer to the final years of life as one gets older, the winter symbolizes a kind of death, or "change", if you will.
Perhaps, in Vanessa's case, it's a changing of the guard....maybe she knew a showdown with Interscope was inevitable. And just as we cannot stop the changing of seasons, Harmonium was let go like a balloon from a child's hand, soaring creatively nonetheless, vanishing into the sky.

technically, half a week before the winter would be either December 17th, or 18th.

Does that mean you are going to give him notice half a week before you give him a wedgie? If I was given notice I would just make sure you couldn't find me in half a week.
kills joke....... ;)

You neglected to account for the element of surprise, my friend.

Argh! Go ahead, Jess, make me jealous! Not only was I thinking about LA when I wrote that, a few days later, I actually ran into a friend of mine from LA and thought, "Gee, he gets to go home to 80+ degrees!"
Rats!

you all are lucky you even HAVE snow! i've seen it once, and it hasn't snowed here since 1977. and the temperature here is still up in the 80's and on some days even the 90's. south florida=ick. we dont really have seasons, just different degrees of summer.
