Title: this made me happy
Post by: WhiteHouses108 on June 17, 2006, 12:28:35 pm
the other day i went to dorney and a thousand miles came on the loud speaker and almost every person that passed me was either humming or singing the song.
it made me happy to know that even though vanessa isnt the most recognized singer right now, people still know her songs.

this new cd is going to make a major comeback, and i cannot wait!!

oooh i had a happy nessa moment too! ok, i went to FYE (a music store) and looked at "Vanessa Carlton". There was one used copy of BNN and a new copy of Harmonium. I asked the dude who was workin there about why there wasnt much V CDs there. He said that last week, it was all full but many people bought her CDs!!!!! I was like OMG!!!!!!!! its good news that Nessa is becoming popular again because her 3rd album is coming SOOOOOOOOOOOONNNN!!!

I went to a Phillies game today.

They didn't play any Vanessa....thank god.  She does NOT belong there.

What was my point?  Ohh yeah, it said "Dorney," everywhere.  They used to have ads on the TV here too, but I haven't seen them in a LONG time, maybe when it becomes summer.  I donno.  I'm more in Six Flags (which everyone in Jersey just calls Great Adventure, I swear I'm not from around here.  I think I'm from another planet.  [give us your mind and we'll scan it]) territory.

Things I learned today:
It is MUCH easier to keep a good scorecard in AL games.  (it was interleague but at an NL park so no DH)

That is all I have to say for now.

   Indeed it is. You have all kinds of fun stuff going on in NL parks--double switches, pitching changes galore, lots of pinch hitters who then change positions with someone else, etc. lol You know you're in an NL park when you end up with one of these: Bill Hall SS-2B-CF or Gabe Gross PH-CF-LF lol. At least your box score wasn't that complicated, although Tampa did use 19 of their 25 guys on the roster, LOL.

Think of it this way, if you don't count their 4 other starters, they used 19 of 21.  I had two center fielders for the longest time.  Whoops.

The only good part about all of TB's switching around was that I got to see Rocco Baldelli.  Long story about why, but I've always liked him.

Also I now feel like I should mention something to point out why though you may love NY but it really sucks.

I live about 35 miles from Yankee Stadium.  I live about 75 miles from Citizens Bank Park (home of the Phillies).  I've been to both parks many times (well the Phillies park is new but I've been to the Vet too and other things in Philly.)

Okay so 40 miles closer to Yankee Stadium.  SO tell me why it takes about 2 HOURS to get to there and about an hour and a quarter to get to Philly.

I can tell you why.  NEW YORK SUCKS.

Errr...right.  Vanessa Carlton, yeah, she's cool.  Yay for people knowing about her coolness.

Okay done.

No wait...more.  Poor you, having to switch leagues.  What was up with that anyway?  It made them unbalanced.  It's kinda unfair too.  'Cause not only are the leagues uneven but so are two divisions which I don't know...seems...not right.

I had to buy Harmonium from overseas because it was never released here in SA (I don't know about the rest of the country). I really hope the forthcoming album is released here. At least that will mean that her promotions team is working!~lol

I was going to buy a second copy from the official Vanessa Carlton site's online store when I saw it came with a shirt, but when I had the money ready (wasn't payday yet, lol), it had shut down. Crappy timing. I REALLY wanted that shirt... it had a pic of a chandelier or something on it...

Bud Selig is evil.  . lol

I am just glad the Seligs no longer have financial control of the Brewers, once they relinquished control we actually started moving in the right direction.
