Too bad if this is already a post, I'm not going through 20-odd pages looking for it. What's your favorite candy!?
-
I like Dark Chocolate.
-
Hooray for Kit-Kat!
-
I'm a jelly bean guy, although don't give me those crappy 2/$1.00 jelly beans. I need real jelly beans.
I love the sweettart jelly beans that come out for Easter.
Jelly Belly are really good, but they are so expensive 8O. You are better off going to the factory and buying reject beans, lol.
I have a thing with mints too, but that is a seperate thing for me than candy.
-
I don't like sweets. :D

^ :rosie:
What is "Baby Ruth"... it sounds like a sick thing to be eating, lol.
I tried a peanut butter cup once (this American dude brought some over) but found it repulsive. Also tried "tootsie rolls", but wasn't too impressed.
Also, here we only call rock candy or the stuff that candy hearts are made of "candy". We don't call chocolate or other sweet things "candy". Thought it was a little interesting. We call lots of "candy" "lollies".
I feel sorry for everyone who has yet to try a Tim Tam. Mmmmm...
-
sour watermelon gummies
i am lactose intolerant, so chochlate is out of the question.
Actualy, i am milk protein intolerant so i can't even have Lactaid Milk

How do you edit the polls? I want to add some more options.
-
I liiiiike, anything with peanut butter. Reeses cups, fastbreaks, nutrageous MMMMM, I also love kit-kats & mounds. Oh yeah, and mallo cups. Those rule.
-
Hooray for Kit-Kat!
Amen to that! :D I love Kit-Kat, and you'll never go wrong offering me one! (I actually like the Nestlé version a tad bit better than the Reese's version, but I love them both.) I've been collecting the eBay wrapper cash lately, and I'm going to send in for the Kit-Kat T-shirt! :D
But now when it comes to the company that makes the most bestest chocolates in the whole world, the whole universe for that matter, it's got to be CADBURY!!! Give me anything made with Dairy Milk and you've made a friend! In fact, that reminds me, as soon as Caramellos go back on sale, I've gotta stock up. I've been craving those lately.
And to all the British and British-descended peoples in the world, what is wrong with your peanut butter taste buds?!?! Everything else seems to work just fine except for that one glitchl :?

Aw, Cadbury is Australian. I eat it all the time. I feel so patriotic right now. Do your stores stock heaps of it, coz there's heaps of varieties here. Do you have Cadbury Caramello Koalas (we eat our native animals, lol) and/or Freddo Frogs? My fave is the Black Forest chocolate blocks.

Hmmm, yes I am british-descended and I hate those nasty peanut butter cups. I find them intolerable. Maybe years in the future, scientists will discover that they contain some type of carcinogen or something, and the English will survive. Lol.
And now for something CRAZY!
DID YOU KNOW, that here, your Mars bar, and your MILKY WAY bar are THE OTHER WAY ROUND!?
ie. If you are from the US, and you open a milky way wrapper in Australia, expecting to find a chocolate bar with nougat and caramel, you will find instead a choc bar with nougat but without caramel... i'm told that you call that a "MARS" bar... and vice versa.
This is what I have been told... an american friend even showed me a video of some show she taped in the states... and an ad for MILKY WAY proved this.... I was freaked out...

No, unfortunately, our Cadbury selection is very limited in the States, unless we go to a store that specialises in British and related items. There is one store in Nashville that I know of that stocks several items from all over the world, but they get pricey. And there's another in Little Rock (Arkansas) that stocks tons of Australian and Kiwi foods, but I haven't had a chance to visit them except online, and postage isn't pretty. :(
About the only Cadbury products that are common in the U.S. are the Dairy Milk bars, the Dairy Milk Fruit & Nut, Dairy Milk Roast Almond, Dairy Milk Caramello, Creme Egg (From January till Easter), and a couple others. Chocolate with air bubbles in it (regardless of brand) have never caught on here. :?

:?: Why? Peanut butter and chocolate are a very natural, almost obvious, combination!

That makes perfect sense! Since you're in Australia, when you look up in the sky, you see everything upside-down. So it's just natural that Mars would be where the Milky Way should be and vice versa. 8)

Logic is misleading .

I dont like cake, cupcakes, chocolate, I dont really like ice cream. i dont like sweets. I never have. when I was younger on halloween I would love to get tons of candy, but I wouldn't eat it. It would just sit there until my mom threw it out. Its not about dieting for me, I just don't like it. :?

 Nope, just me.

I don't have a big sweet tooth but if I eat candy it's dark chocolate.
-
 Nope, just me.
And we need more people like you.
I love Dark Chocolate, it's what I voted for.
-
My favourite is white chocolate (the one, that is made in here, Estonia).
-
I like white chocolate a lot, too. It all depends on what I feel like eating.

I agree. The more people like you, the more chocolate there is left for me! :D

I kinda like the crunchie too. :D There's also one called the Picnic, I believe, that I really liked.

If Lion is Cadbury, I've never heard of it...

If Lion is Cadbury, I've never heard of it...
Lion is a Nestlé product. I love Nestlé too (over and above Hershey, for sure) but not more than Cadbury. Nestlé makes better Kit Kats than Reese's (though Reese's are good, especially when you compare 48¢ for a Reese's Kit Kat to 99¢ for a Nestlé one), and their Milk Chocolate (though it's getting harder to find around here all the time) doesn't have that greasy-tasting sweetness I think Hershey's Milk Chocolate has.
-
We have a lot of Nestlé but not Lion. Hershey's (kisses and cookies and cream bar, which was nice) sold here a few years back for a short amount of time; it got taken off the market beause it wasn't selling well.
2 Kit Kats!? Wow.

anyone here see the episode of friends where monica spends days trying to figure out phoebe's aunt's secret cookie recipe?? and then phoebe finds out that its nes-lay, tul-housem. haha nestle tollhouse....
where is nestle from?
-
where is nestle from?
I think it might be French. But again, I may be wrong! :P

where is nestle from?
or the episode when Monica makes Mocholate?
My favorite is when Phoebe goes: "This is what evil must taste like!"
And I picked Dark Chocolate. Preferably if it's from Lindor or Ghiradelli :-P

I'm up for a Snicker's Bar now and then, but my all time favorite treats are chocolate covered pretzels.

ooh i love chocolate covered pretzels! but not those Flipz ones... the chocolate isn't that great.... Trader Joes makes them in milk chocolate (reallllly good thick chocolate too ) and dark chocolate.
i don't like dark chocolate... unless its a truffle or something and it is dark because of whatever the filling is tastes better that way.. mm godiva

The labels say Société des Produits Nestlé, Vevey, Switzerland. So, I guess you're at least half-right - French-Swiss.
Kit Kats were introduced by Rountree in England long, long ago, and licenced to Reese's in America long before Nestlé bought Rountree. So that's why Reese's, now a division of Hershey's, produces in America what is decidedly a Nestlé product in the rest of the world. 8)

KIT KATS!!!

We have crunchie and violet crumble. Crunchie is Cadbury, VC (hehe) is Nestle. They taste really different, but it's hard to describe.
-
Well, out of those marshmallow's is my favourite.
-
Like Megan has said, here in Australasia we don't count most of the choices
in this poll as candy, so I've voted for Hard Caramels, of which my favourite
would have to be McIntosh Toffee Caramels. The best thing about these as
a kid was that they kept you busy making them soft enough to chew up
Peace
Aaron

Peanut butter and chocolate..... who ever invented it, deserves a pat on the back. Love the peanut butter cups!
-
Such a difficult thing to decide on but im going to have to go with good old fashion chocolate
-
What...there`s no `all`choice.
