It sounds like it was meant for the US to not have a good day.

just don't tell mom about it. she'll lay down in front of the plane and not let you take off.

Not quite. If that were my intent, I would have started a whole new thread. I just provided that as a useful link. Seriously, there are a number of main reasons I just don't fly. I have flown twice before in my life. It didn't scare me and it got boring after the first ten minutes. Lots of mountains and clouds. I'd much rather travel by car, and I even like trains, but I just don't care for planes. Too much waiting, too much hassle, you have to stick to their schedule even though they don't. It's just not my cup of stew.

I was joking.

Oh, okay. :D
But still, I guess someone could have seen it that way. I mean, I love my car, but I'm not gonna go smearing it in everyone's face, especially when people are trying to kill a bunch of other people. Some people might see it as being distasteful or disrespectful. I just don't like flying because it's been my experience that you would often spend more time in the terminal than on the plane, and there is so much of a limitation on what you can carry with you, and all this. If I just really had to go to New York right now, for example, I could grab my stuff, put up to 13.6 cubic feet of it in the trunk and whatever else in the backseat (depending on who's going with me, of course), and be there by tonight, or at least first thing in the morning. To top it all, and reason #1 I don't like to fly, I could do that for cheaper than buying a plane ticket, especially if someone's going with me. I mean, really, how much more gas does it take to carry another 150-to-200 pound person and their stuff when the car already weighs 2700 pounds and is carrying me and my stuff? Does it cause a significant amount more wear on the engine, the tires, the brakes?
Of course, I realize I can only drive where roads will take me, and that Transatlantic bridge isn't quite complete yet, and if I just had to fly to get somewhere because it was the only way, I guess I could do it, but not if I had to buy the ticket. The only way I'd go is if someone else wanted me to come so badly they're willing to pay for it. (Maybe I should learn how to sail.)

Does anyone know where the plane's destination was? This whole thing is scary as hell.

I believe they were all heading for the United States. I don't know specifically what cities, but you could probably assume some of the major ones, like New York, Boston, perhaps Chicago, &c.
-
I think LA was one too.

Al Qu. will only target places that leaves disturbances to the Country's economy. I'm sure, had those planes departed from Heathrow, the World Trade Centre would be hit again. The Brooklyn Bridge seems like a possible target, and dare I say, even London's Big Ben.
A lot of you who follow reports from Intelligence will know that the 9/11 plots to target the World Trade Centre wasn't a first attemp. Hitting the World Trade Centre is equivalent to the crashing of the stock exchange. It is America's heart.

i just don't understand why they're obsessed with planes.. what's the point in blowing them up in the middle of the ocean? would they really wait til they got to the US and went to big cities?
this whole thing is insane.
and besides that, this whole Israel/Hezbollah thing...
all i've got to say, is Israel better blow the fuckers up.

Dear god, don't go into diplomacy.
Also, they're used to working with planes...that's what the know how to do. That's why they do it.

Or perhaps, it's unleashed the most disaster? And asides the fact that it's more controversial.

yes but you wouln't be able to visit more than a few countries.. .and theres so much more to the world.......

Really? If I was planning to bomb the U.S., which I'm not, Chicago wouldn't be my first choice. Don't you think it'd be more likely that they'd try to hit the West coast? They've already hit the East.

True, to a point. There are certain vast parts of the world I really have no interest to ever visit, and I won't name them lest I offend someone. But if you want to stretch it a bit, cars will fit on boats.

I heard that there were 21 people arrested and 9 planes targeted. There could have been multiple destinations.

i wasn't planning on it. since when do we negotiate with terrorists? it's bullshit.
and i got my answer.. not only is it a huge missile, but it also disrupts the economy and scares the shit out of people..
i've been obsessed with fox news lately.
-
Really, FOX, I'm surprised...not.
Plus, Israel's bombings, to my understanding, were causing people to support Hezbollah.

Thank you, lol :D. The whole Israel thing is overshadowing every other important news event. Did you know there was a massive tsunami in China the other day?
