Title: Places to stay in Washington, DC?

Hey y'all,

I'm planning to spend a few days in DC early November and I'm trying to find a hotel there, decent and not over-priced.
I was told to stay away from the East and North-East part of Washington, DC.
So I guess Arlington is okay?
Any help would be appreciated! :)

I guess Arlington's okay.  Just stay away from Oxon Hill, Md.  It's a dump. :?
