Hi- I've passed through here a few times before trying to find songs and such, and finally ('cus I needed to ask about songs, and because it really was about time anyway) I registered, well because the reason everyone does- because Vanessa is awesome?

I've always really loved her music because I've always known it's the kind I'd write if I ever got back into piano *something I'm trying to do now*- oh, and if I could sing. Beautiful piano music with beautiful poetry and haunting melodies.

So, hello everyone? ^_^

Well, let me be the first to officially welcome you to Nessaholics as a registered member, then! :D   I'm glad you finally signed up.  Personally, I think it's a nice community of Vanessa fans (for the most part), and I've been here for over 3½ years now.

Have you heard about the new stuff Vanessa is working on, and what do you think about it? 8)

Not yet- part of the reason I signed up was to find it all on the 'Where can I find this song...' thread. I just yesterday was able to get all her old stuff- most of her old stuff. Birdie still aludes me- and it's my favorite. *Listens to it consatnatly on Youtube since it's her only source of it*

Though I have heard 'Swindler' over a year ago- not sure how new that is but I got it under the title 'Along for the Ride'. It was amazing and fit me so perfectly. I remeber writing the lyrics "And now I'm lost. And now I run from you. And now I see, just how I bleed from you. And all the lies, all the lies. How could I let you in? But now it's clear- I went along for the ride." on my folder.... everyone took it as some form of emo suicide note (or, just, cutters rant) and kept grabbing my wrists. Needless to say I'm not emo or a cutter and kept explaining to people it was -song- lyrics... humerous actually.

But I'm trying to find though songs now, so I'll respond back soon! Hopefully! *Old as it is desperately wants Birdie*

How about if I send you the audio for "Birdie"?  I'm assuming that the YouTube video you're referring to is her Village Underground performance back in 2001.  I have the whole thing here, and it's quite an interesting little concert.  It's amazing how much she's developed and how little she's actually changed.
