Your soul was what kept me warm
The thing that kept you down to earth
And now it's left your body
It'd been with you since your birth
Your soul was the keeper of your life
Now that's left me too
No longer can I expect to be your wife
You were taken from me far too soon

And now I'm here, alone and cold
You're not here to comfort me anymore

Your soul was what made me love you
Your soul was what put that glow in your eyes
Your soul made me feel, like I was in paradise
Your soul kept me protected
Your soul made me feel good inside
And now, now it's gone

They tell me you look down on me
Down from that heavenly place
And that you'll always be with me
But why can't I see your damn face
I dont wanna forget your eyes
They were the peephole to your soul
But now those eyes are forever closed
