thanks, just be glad im not a mod i would be erasing topics left and right just trying to reply to them  :wink:

I think baseball games should be played in the snow as well, that way if you were talented enough you could slide into second  base and end up sliding all the way to third thus making the game far more enthralling, confusing, and plain funny (especially when people fall down all over the place, or when the ball blends into the snow causing random outfielders to get decked by the fly balls)

i would have to say that baseball is ok to play, boring to watch....however golf is extremely boring to watch, unbelievably fun to play

Well I must say one thing... I gave it some thought, and after a conversation I had with someone on the official board who I consider to be credible and trustworthy, I'm not 100% sure about converting as of this day.  

Among other things, a point that was raised was, if we all abandon the old board, what message does this send to Vanessa?  Vanessa obviously does not post here, and will she think that we existed solely for the purpose of chatting with one another... rather than for supporting her?  Yes, without a doubt part of the reason why many of us (including myself) joined both boards was to interact and socialize with one another, but what about supporting and promoting Vanessa to all the new fans?  It was also brought up that many people have just lurked at the official board and when Vanessa-related topics come up, they don't bother replying or supporting them.

Remember, the new fans will naturally join the official board... and to many of them, that is the board they will think of first.  So I don't know...

Yes, this board is well maintained and moderated, and I now have a place to post my chart reports without it getting buried with spam... but I am not really sure of what to do.  Part of me feels like I've abandoned Vanessa by not supporting the other board and getting other fans interested in her music.

What do you all think?

this has not only tormented you but so many other people as well.  For me it comes down to a few points...

• there is a problem on the official board and has been for some time.  it can be fixed but people choose not to do anything, that is appauling.

• lack of moderating/rules
• lack of a decent board that isn't down or giving errors more often then it is up.

• vanessa posts on the official board have dropped drastically from 2-5 posts / month to maybe 1 post per month.

in the FAQ is mention of NESSAholics.com.  If the newbie is intelligent i think they can find things over here.  I think a large majority of the people leaving the o-board sends quite a message to Vanessa et all.. maybe that is what is needed?

I agree it's great if the fans support Vanessa but i don't see how going to a more enjoyable place not having to put up with a bunch of bullshit makes them any less of a supporter?  I don't think Vanessa would ever think "In order to prove you're my fan, you have stay here on a shitty board, with barely any moderation and deal with people spamming and fighting and being rude"... do you? :)

You honestly believe Vanessa would want you to go to her forum and deal with that, or moreso you think SHE cares to go there and see that?  that would be deleted here without question... that is absurd.
