I wanted Corinne Bailey Rae, Nelly Furtado and James Blut to be the winners.. It's a pity none of them took one home.....
And who the heck are that girls from DIXIE CHICKS? I had never ever heard of them in my life before.....
I think they didn't give the award to James and Corinne because they thought:
" Hmm... they didn't obey, they broke the rules, Corinne and James are singing with british accent, it can't be, they won't win anything "
It's my opinion, And I know that it can happen.. Natalie Imbruglia told the world everything about it... about the aubse of power....
I didn't like any of Justin performances, and Shakira was great.....
What happened to Nelly Furtado's hair?
Did you see how different Mandy Moore is?

Oh they just sold a few millions records in the US, no big deal...ROFL

Now you're being ridiculous: accents don't have anything to do with good music.
On a good note, Carrie Underwood won a Grammy! GO CARRIE!! :dances:

ooh yeah. That's the first time i've actually heard her.
Good for her :]
edit: Oh and for the accents thing, American singers/bands have plenty of airplay over here so I don't think it's an accent thing.

Ok.. It's your opinion...
Natalie Imbruglia said everything about americanising music in the UK, AUS, NZ, CA and IR
Accents is " important " in the music world..
If a British or a non-american singer sings with american accent, they'll be very well promoted in the USA.... Just like Joss Stone, I neve heard a british accent from her, even when she's speaking....
It's a pity that things like that happen... It's like
If you listen to an artist, Natasha Springfield for example, you'd never know that she's british unless you look for her biography....
But I'm happy that James Blunt sang YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL britishly, mainly the part " We shared a moment that will LAST till the end " and Corinne rocked when she sang " You've got this look I CAN'T describe "
And you know what.. I'm easy, I don't give a damn for Grammy, MTV and awards, I know that they're good to me. They're the best to me... I don't need an American thing to show it....
It's just my opinion...
Vanessa Carlton, Norah Jones, Jeremy Camp, Jennifer Lopez, Shannon Thomas are the only Americans that I really like... I really respect, They kind don't have the ABUSE OF POWER as the other americans got....
Mainly Vanessa, that sounds to be so disapointed with American goverment....
I'll be alive until the day that USA falls down and another country, I think CHINA is going to take its place..It's going to be the happiest day of my life.........

I think she's lived in the US since she was 15, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that may have an influence on how she sings/speaks.

Of course James Blunt would sing "Britishly", he's British.

Are you on crack?

Oh.... One by one
Joss Stone: Hmm, you don't lose your accent living in a country for 1,2,3,10 years... Maybe, for 30 years... I know many people that live in a country and never lost their mother-accent..
James Blunt: Oh... So tell me, Robbie Williams is british, he lives in the UK, as far as I know... So why the hell he sings in American way? Ah, and James Blunt has spent all his recording time in the USA... and he has a great accent....
USA loss of power: No I'm not.. I don't like that sort of things...

My mum lived in South Africa for most of her life and she's lost her accent.

Wrong. Most people can lose their accent if they live in a foreign country for a long period of time.
That's what humans do: they adapt. Not agreeing would be foolish.
I don't know why I'm even trying to argue here though. :?
