Title: M.A.K.E.L.O.V.E.T.O.M.E. no longer first single

check out his myspace.
it's some song called "She Got A Girlfriend" now.

he also said he scrapped the first two versions of his album or something like that to try to define his new sound better.

I'm just hoping that even if M.A.K.E.L.O.V.E.T.O.M.E. doesn't become a single, that it'll still be on his album.

then again, this could also mean another different version of M.A.K.E.L.O.V.E.T.O.M.E. will be on his album.

I think it's better when the song remains on the album or won't appear anywhere else. An artist like Seven don't deserves the support of someone who's so brilliant like Vanessa :D

she's not even singing on a track with a good or even really famous rapper. who the hell is channel 7?

Maybe it is because the word is out she is available and the last thing VC needs is a single out there where she is saying "make love to me" because she has all these guys hitting on her already. :wink: Remote, but possible. :lol:

Don't shoot me, but I'd have to agree that I kind of like it. I don't think that this will be bad for V at all. I highly doubt she will be know as the makelovetome girl at all. I think she will be forever known as the thousand miles girl, for better or worse....so I highly doubt we have to worry about it. It's just more exposure for her new album, is how I see it.

Respectfully disagreeing is cool. I also don't subscribe to that idea either. But I seriously don't see this as bad publicity. It is extremely different than most of V's other stuff but I think it is cool that she is branching off. And it is not like the song is extremely distasteful. There are a lot of other words that could be used in the song instead of makelovetome. I am not putting them here on purpose of course, we all know what they are. I'm just saying, yeah it is different, but I don't think it is bad....not like her best song ever or anything but it is not bad. And I think it will be good publicity. I hope that clarifies....

The only reason why people in this community don't either like the song, or believe the song would perform well, is because everyone here is pretty biased and highly opinionated. Let's face it. lol

Why would the song not perform well in the market that it's geared for? That's right, none of us can give a reason as to why the song would not grow into becoming a hit. Some of us don't care for the song because we either don't care for the genre, the songs message, or the fact that we have this predisposed ideal of how Vanessa should sound and continue to sound in the music she puts out and is featured on. I mean, this obviously isn't another Big Yellow Taxi.

But that's the whole POINT of MakeLoveToMe, like it or not, it's something that she wouldn't normally do, and I believe it ultimately succeeds in what it's intended for. It's a pleasant curve ball.

And of course any publicity is good publicity, anyone who says otherwise knows nothing about celebrity. Controversy gets people talking and interested, just look at Paris Hilton right now, she's more infamous than ever. Ratings on the Simple Life have been through the roof.

oh jeez, sorry for not being clear. Of course its a fact in show biz. However what I was trying to say is that I think V would rather have good publicity than bad....and so would the fans. And I was also trying to say that this is NOT bad OR good publicity, it is just simply publicity IMHO. I didn't mean to start a thing on this idea of bad publicity. Sorry - please don't let it lead to an argument - just good discussion as we are doing right now. :-)
