Hello peeps,
This is painfully overdue. on more than one occasion I have had conversations with you (person who is reading this) in my head, but alas it never gets written down. One lame excuse (though totally for reals), my laptop flew off the roof of my rental car (prius) at 60 mph.
I, of course, thought a bird had flown into my rear window and screeched the car to a halt, slightly traumatized and ready for some birdie rescue. much to my dismay, my 4 year old laptop was sitting in the middle of the street jolted to it's open position. it works intermittently. I still use it. I just can't let it go. sad. my tour manager, Mark, wants to kill me.
ok, so how handsome is victor in the nolita fairytale video. I'm so thrilled that it has been received well by you guys. thanks for voting for it! my warriors.
After a few sleepless night and many months of work, the artwork for the album is done. it's weird. EVERYTHING is done. Now, I'm focusing on the website (it will b up soon, promise) and my tour. ICANNOT wait for this record to get into the hands of whoever is reading this. i am proud of the work, but mostly looking forward to sharing the notions in these songs with you. I realized recently that music is the way that most people meditate. I love that. I have been meditating on neil young's after the gold rush, bob marley, and my morning jacket "Z" for the past few weeks.
as usual, I am ridiculously luck to have your steadfast support and can't wait to see you on the road. to the nessaholics and beyond endless x's and o's Vanessa and Victor

lately) don't do drugs. I love mariah (who doesn't?). gossip sucks.

It's great that she's finally been able to drop a note for us read, it's about time we get some words straight from her, the MySpace bulletins and announcement's done by the people who run her MySpace was having me feeling a little deprived. lol

lol this radio host said he left his WALLET on top of his car, and it was still there when he got home or to work or wherever. this was talked about last week i believe.
anyways, glad she cleared up the drug & mariah issue for us so maybe we can get a little break from the drama. wait..this is nessaholics.com the drama never stops lol

I just read this, too, and was hurrying over here to post it. I kinda figured someone else would beat me to it, though.
I was SO EXCITED when I read this message. Not only did she post it on her blog, but she also made it a bulletin. How cool is that? As lucky as Vanessa says she is to have such dedicated fans, I think we're even luckier to love an artist that is as intimately connected with her fans as Vanessa is. I am so happy right now.
It's good to know the website will be up soon, I've been very chagrined about that. I'm glad Vanessa appreciates what we've done in supporting Nolita Fairytale (we knew she would, though), and that little postscript was another awesome treat for us. It is another awesome reminder of how much Vanessa cares for us and respects us.
Bring on Heroes and Thieves!!!! October cannot come soon enough.

Finally!!!!! I have been waiting forever!! I love the update. I can't believe it fell off of her car. I can totally envision it. My dad left a hammer on the car once and we went on the expressway, where it can go up to about 85 and when we came home it was still there.

That sounds great! I kinda hate that I've been gone from here for five weeks. I'm having to play catch-up and it's hard. It's 6 a.m., fuck Ryan out loud!
But I can completely symphonize with her on the computer. I've got to be among the world's worst about leaving shit on top of the car. I have left my laptop on the trunk lid, but fortunately the luggage rack kept it from sliding off, and in college, I left my $200 digital camera on the roof of a wagon for 15 miles on my way to go eat with family, and again, a luggage rack saved that one. But recently, a dinner plate and my MOTORAZR weren't quite so lucky. Fortunately, the RAZR's only injuries were a few scratches and a shattered camera lens protector.
