Title: Martha 'Men Hate Me' Burke

Basically, just wanted to get a view on everyone's thoughts on Martha Burke and Augusta.

Personally, I think the fact that she could get only 40 protestors (that's including the PUSH Coalition and a generous estimate) proves that no one sides with her.

I still think that it is hilarious that there is a group of people called "People Against Stupid Protests" who were going to protest her protest, LMAO. I swear I would join PASP.  :D

I wouldn't go out and protest cos it's stupid, and wouldn't make a difference. But why should a Golf Club only allow male members? What's it got against women? If it's just tradition then I don't think that's a good enough reason.

They have a right to be private and exclude anyone they want to.  Same thing carries for the boy scouts and girl scouts.  

They have nothing against women, they let women play on the course all the time--but no women members.

This is all so Martha Burke can get her name out.  There's a club in Washington that Bryant Gumble is a member of that won't even allow women on the property.  Women can't even pick up their husbands!!!!  Does Martha protest that?  Nope.  Why?  Because protesting Augusta gets her name out.

But if they let women play on the course all the time. Why not let them be members? Seems completely illogical to me.

Augusta can do whatever it wants.  I take that back, sounds to--,yea so, all I have to say is gender discrimination is natural.  Sorry thats how it is.

And this from a female who enjoys the sport of golf.
