I'm going to be in Melbourne, Sidney and Cairns from the 29th till Jan 10th! Anyone from there/been there and have any advice? Cool places to go? Things to see? Good restaurants or clubs? Things I should bring? Please help me out! :)

Hi Holly
While in Cairns there is one restaurant that is a must stop dining experience;
the chef is rated in the top 26 in Australia; the cuisine is French with a subtle
Japanese influence (I used to work with the chef before he moved to Cairns)
and any dinner (or lunch) you have there is 'guaranteed' to be one highlight

I was flown to Cairns from the Gold Coast back when they opened up there
in December 2005 to do the wine list for them; follow the links here to see if

p.s. Remember that Melbourne & Sydney are on 'daylight saving time'; Cairns
is along with the rest of Queensland not, and one hour behind NSW & VIC ;-)

Thanks for the advice! Sorry... I forgot to check this again recently! We went to Melbourne and Sydney and it was wonderful!! This might be my favorite country I've been too! We just got to Cairns a bit ago! I think we're trying that M.Yogo restaurant! Thanks for the recommendation! :)
