Post by: VanessaCarltonMania on April 26, 2008, 12:26:41 pm: So, I'm babysitting my baby brother tonight....he's been screaming practically the WHOLE time....i was trying to get him to go to sleep....
the only song that came to my mind was MORE THAN THIS
so i started singing it

I swear to God!
as soon as i started the first note....he put his head down on my shoulder and shut up!
and then not even 2 minutes later he was asleep!

See...Vanessa saves lives everyday...cus i think i was gonna kill him if he didnt shut up and go to sleep....haha j/k :D :lol: :razz:

He HATES her music...he starts crying every time she sticks the earphones in his ears...
But when i make him listen to Vanessa he LOVES it! :D :D
He starts wiggling around and smiling :razz:

He is a year old btw :) :)

Lol, Naked Brothers Band sounds pretty on par for a kid his age. I think Vanessa's music may be hard for a youngster to fully understand, and I think kids like music they can rock out too lol

UGH. My cousin, whom I babysat for a month two summers ago, fell in love with all my music. And guess what: "So, Ryan, who's your favorite music artist?" I asked. "Vanessa Carlton! I love her piano! Now I wanna play just like her!" was his immediate response.

Now that I haven't been around at all, he still likes the music and V, but not as much, and his new favorite band is.... Oh I don't want to say it... I don't want to believe it... but.... The Naked Brothers Band.... If I babysit again, I'll break him of that nasty habit.
When I see him next, I told him he'll get a couple new albums, especially Heroes & Thieves. And that if he keeps listening to that awful pathetic music he likes now, I will not let him have any of them.... Guess what he said? "NO! I want the Vanessa Carlton CD! Does Michelle Branch have a new one, I want that one too! And Regina Spektor... And Panic At The Disco!"... He went on and on. So, next time I see him, no CD's for him if I hear him humming those stupid little ridiculously-named group of boys' music. =]

Yes, I know, I'm a musical tyrant.

Like, I can sometimes sing very certain things, but still not that well... But everyone who tells me to STFU when I'm singing aloud (hehe), says that if you could just use your voice differently, it'd be amazing. So that's what I'll do. Who knows? Maybe all of my loves here will be my loving, adoring fans..... Because honestly, I have piano pieces going through my head sometimes that if I could write, would be freaking GENIUS. That's not very modest, but I seriously cannot believe how freaking creative and musically-oriented my brain is.

Just this morning though, I was playing Shiny Toy Guns on our way to his daycare and he says "Daddy I dont want the radio on." XD
