ALL RIGHT, while we angst away in other threads... vanessa has been on "hollywood green".

tour of her apartment, her being green again. lord victor is as cute as ever.
there's a snippet of that new song, too, on gotti's way. at least, an instrumental snippet - the vid shows her playing it and it's absolutely gorgeous. can't wait to hear that song in full.

mmm i didn't mean to suggest anyone's point is valid/invalid, only to point our way to some vanessa presence. this was apparently on tv sometime, too. :]
edit: never made the claim that this should suffice as artist-fan interaction, either.
oh. and as i was reminded, i was only speculating that whatever she's playing is the same song as the one she played on irv gotti. it sounded similar to me? i suppose it could be an entirely new song or just a little passage she composed.

I don't know why environmentalists talk about going green and stuff. I don't consider myself an environmentalist but I have about the same type of behavior but mostly for efficiency and quality of life reasons. I've always tried to live within a few blocks of where I work so I didn't have to drive #%!* hours to work. And I've been wanting an EV for years. I was eyeing the Th!nk City website back when Ford owned the company because I wanted one really bad.
Green has always been reserved for HORNY for me. When people talk about going green, I think, "Horny for social acceptance."
At least it is for some good; for those who are compelled to drive their SUV on a 100 mile round trip commute. (I've known people like that.)

antique furniture and handcrafted tables from indonesia are not cheap. the candles could be, but honestly tend to run around $9-10 apiece. and even if they were cheap, those candelabra probably weren't.
i'm sure not everything in her home is ridiculously expensive, but her apartment is a hell of a lot nicer than mine.

theres no doubt that v has invested a lot of money into her apartment, she has a fucking elevator leading up to her level(which is common in nyc for a loft i know) but come on......but i don't think money-wise it's any of our business...
but I DO think it's a lot easier for people to go green, if you have the money too...it's easier to go the cheaper, easier, quicker more at your fingertips-route when your on a budget, which almost everyone who isn't rolling in the dough is..and people who work 9-5 jobs don't have the time and money to worry about where there kitchen table is coming from, and where it was crafted and with what materials....im glad she is "green" in a sense but it's almost impossible for someone to even think about going green when they lead a normal life with a normal average income.

I disagree. There are many things people can do. Just consider them on coffee breaks(or like me smoke breaks.) I've even done some non-eco friendly things on purpose. Like adding tri-sodium phosphate(you can buy it at a hardware store or gardening center) to my laundry detergent to make my clothes cleaner. The problem is if everyone does that it becomes a big problem. I don't do it now but have in the past. If you look at the side of laundry detergent it says on almost every package(if not every one) in the united states, "No Phosphates"
I think the main push right now is to reduce carbon emissions without overloading the capacity of the electrical grid. Which is why they say use less. Ect., ect.
Some people are tree huggers. Others just leave the trees alone because hugging a damn tree is stupid. :wink:

There's quite a few whole foods markets in my area, they are pricey, but its a very green organic store. my guess is $5 per candle. but if shes using them a lot, rather than an actual light, its in a sense worth it.

I don't understand you guys saying some bad things about her when she "disappears" and then when we have news like this "she's just showing her expensive stuff". She does always mention her "nessaholics" fans but who are they now ?

There is a pretty distinct difference between a fan, and a nessaholic....I use the word 'nessaholic' very losely because it just sounds kinda silly...haha...although I am happy to consider myself one.
Someone who bought BNN, loves that album, but lost touch with Vanessas career and following two albums, I would consider a fan.
People who actually have all 3, go to the shows, support the artist would be considered a nessaholic too me...or any of the three...regardless of being on this forum.
But because it is so slow around here, lack of updates, news, anything of that sort, people will start speaking up...and there not doing it out of hate for Vanessa, they are doing it because they love her music, and just want to know whats going on...that is all. I don't think it's so much to ask for...especially since when Vanessa decides to let people in on her next move, these people here will probably be the only ones reading about it.
Comments on money, and her relationship-life really aren't any of our business, but I think her music and carrer are our business.....
I mean it is how she makes her living.
I just miss knowing whats up with her....I don't dislike or like her anymore than I did before...but when an artist doesn't have a way to cater to there main-fanbase thats not a good sign..especially with nothing going on.......but hey, shes not worried about it? why should we be?
And being a nessaholic doesn't mean putting vanessa on a perfect pedestal either....it's all constructive criticism.

She's not the best to her fans, but she's definitely not bad to us either. There are some artists/celebrities who are very into communication with their fans and keeping people updated. Jason Mraz keeps one of the coolest journals I've seen from an artist and talks to his fans like peers, but some people aren't like that... don't like the internet or whatever, or just don't really care to be so interactive, they think of it as more a career and probably just want their privacy when they get the opportunities...
That being sad, I think part of the reason she hasn't been updating the 'fans' as much is because her career isn't going that well right now and she might not think she has much of a fanbase left, it may make her feel depressed to think of it... not trying to defend her, but she has said she suffers from depression sometimes so who knows how she feels.
And her apt is nice, but not cozy enough for my taste if I'm being honest!

I just think the vodka thing was a gag like the whole bathtub Miss Carey reference. I know that. But that is what I definantly noticed between the two. I was like, "food! Holy crap, she has something other than vodka."

In all honesty, guys, I think she's just busy and working hard. She probably doesn't want to update until she has something worthwhile to report. Once the album is finished, she'll be more in touch, just like she was with Harmonium and Heroes & Thieves.
