I would have totally flown to LA for this show if i already didn't have a flight booked to Denver for work :( I even went to the extent to see if i could fly from Denver to LA Mon night and make the show, and then fly back to Denver before 8am on Tues... just doesn't seem to be working out for me.
I will be hitting up the NC show tho in April. It's been way too long since I've seen Vanessa.
I'll be thinking about everyone able to go tomorrow night though wishing i could be there :( Have fun Let and Nicole!

she always seems to do a show the day before my birthday lol, what a nice present!

vanessa is fucking gorgeous and brilliant and just shines onstage. i can't believe so long has past since i listened to her.

yeah it was lovely, the gist of it was, she knows the guy is cheating but he says he's not so she says okay you're right you're not. at least that's what i gathered from the chorus. and then after she was done she said she didn't want to have that attitude anymore.
i was actually quite happy to not hear ATM or OD, unless she played them after i left. either way, they don't define her anymore nor do they have to. she has moved onto new things and hits like these seem like they would eventually become a burden.
we scored free parking on cahuenga and came back just in time to notice we were actually in a tow-away zone and the T&P guy was ticketing us to be towed. nice!
this is a 10 min drive for me and therefore she can play there as often as she likes :D

It was good times indeed!! So wonderful to see old friends and make new ones. Great show, so glad Skye was there. It was so dark my videos didn't come out so hot. I did see Katia comment about adult beverages and I guess she knows me too well cause I seemed to miss "White Houses" and "Half A Week Before The Winter." Oh and I cut off "Who's To Say." :-[

I took videos of 'waltz', 'fair weathered friends' and 'london'. i will post soon. also love the line 'we have a throwing knives kind of love' in the fairweathered friends. it's cute. great show..my first show where she completely ditched bnn all together..but home and half a week before the winter made up for it!! great show. i love the hotel cafe.

You're welcome for the videos. Glad you guys enjoy them. I almost didn't share cause it's so dark but I knew you guys wouldn't mind and wanted to hear. I hope she doesn't mind either. I think she knows we are all here for her and think she's fantastic. Putting a little something on the internet to let people know she's still around is great. I know when I told people I was going to see her they were surprised she was still around.
She told me and Nicole that she's going to be doing more shows. I don't know where or when but that's what she said and it makes me happy!

I was walking out and so ready to slip into bed when i saw jess and waved and realized V was standing next to her i tapped vanessa on the shoulder and was all "thanks, it was a nice show" and she was like "oh, hey... Stephanie, right? how are you? how do you like the venue - where do you like to go and play...." i was a little shocked and really tired - so we spoke for about 1 min then i gracefully went home - she always surprises me... anyhow
i really liked her playin at the hotel - it's nice to go to a small room and see someone you like play (the hotel cafe hasn't let me down yet!) it was perfect!

Fair-Weather Friends is WOW. London's still my fave because I can relate so well, but FWF is stunning too.

About 2 weeks after this show, I borrowed my sister's ID to go to a bar and it seriously worked like a CHARM and I was so upset knowing that I could have used it to go to this show and I didn't :( Now I'm even more upset after reading this and seeing how great the show was!!! ughhh :( :( :(
