i'm talking way back to divasteph, nicole, brian, manda, etc. days.
i wanna know what you guys are up to these days & any cool stories/events that have happened to you guys recently if you wanna share. & i want you guys to post a recent picture if possible =)
i rarely post here these days.. but i haven't forgotten about you guys. just got tired of all the nessaholics arguing w/ each other.
well i work full time now, got a new office job about a month ago & graduated from a training college before that. it seems to be going well so far. so i keep busy with that during the week & hanging out with friends, doing church things, etc. i'm pretty busy these days.
i still like backstreet, criss angel & paula of course. kathy griffin is my newest celeb favorite, believe it or not. not into vanessa like i used to be sadly. & if you haven't seen my post, i finally got a picture with paula on my bday back in may. it was a pretty cool & surreal experience. it always is meeting her.
here's my recent picture..
not too long ago at a friends party.. decided to crop my friend out:

Ah, the good 'ol days of 2002. I'm still doing all the same things I was doing, except that I play more music out with bands(wasn't in any band from 1997-2005).
Still in touch or know how to get a hold of most of the old posse.
Still love Nessa's music. Still put on Harmonium every couple of weeks. It's that good!

I'm still around too!
Still love the V as well, I'm following her "tweaks" :)
(Dan, long time no talk man! Still in NYC? I'll be there for Thanksgiving! PM me if you wanna hang out or something!)
-
Nope, none here. Just newbies.
-
Newbies? I feel like a Newbie with my post count (I don't daren't look at my PPD stat)... the joys of working > 55hrs+!
Peace

I don't feel like it's bad to be a newbie. I don't have a high post count, but when Be Not Nobody came out and I was like 11, I didn't really feel the need to post on internet forums.
-
Oh 2002 and the good times we had...
-
Hello darlings :P
I rarely post here anymore either. Life has become far too busy. I'm finally finishing up my Master's in Childhood/Special Education in December. I'm student teaching right now in a 2nd grade classroom. Nice to see some of you still around here. Hope that all is wonderful. Still listening to V here and there, but I must admit, not nearly as often as I once did.
-
Some people are still around. Once in a while I will hear from some old school folks via Facebook. It was good times then.
-
Sup Gina! :D
Same with you Gina, I pop in a V album from time to time, but not nearly as much as before.
Oh 2002 and the good times we had...
ahhh...2002, those were great times! I remember going to the old board everyday and being such a post whore...yeah....good times.
Now, I don't even know when I last posted :-\
-
oh my!
When I first started here I was ummmmmm 13???????? now I'm almost 21 years old! yikes how time flies!
-
I know, it's crazy how time flies. I'm 23 now and going to be teacher in less than a month... YIKES! It's kind of scary to think that I'll have a "grown-up" job!
Mistrfish - nice to see you still lurk around here from time to time.
-
i think i was 16 when i first started posting on v's official board. now i'm 23 too. crazy to think about.
-
I was 16 when I started posting on the vc old o-boards (spent a year wondering what "Chat" was on the main page(the internets were young back then), who knew it'd be the doorway to this NESSAholic Narnia :P)... Today I'm 22! I actually have a full grown up job and I still listen to V almost everyday to work...
-
I check this forum at least every other day in hopes of updates.. but that's no secret.
still as obsessed as ever. :P
i'm facebook friends with a bunch of you guys anyway ;)
-
I just went on a little roadtrip this weekend with one of my new concert buddies here in Nor Cal. Passing time, I told him all my V stories from back in the day. The best one that still brings a tear to my eye is my ATL "Pretty Baby" story... Ahh the memories, hoping to make more soon.
So crazy that most of us are all still really close!! :)

I still lurk around. I am finally working in higher education doing academic advising, which is what I've been working towards for the greater part of my time all of you have known me. Being a post whore is hard when you don't work retail and can't stay up until 4am O_o.
I keep up with a lot of the OG peeps on facebook/twitter. I was listening to V the other day and realized how much I missed the music and good times that were had. It makes me feel super old to see people like Holly and Gina all grown up now as my initial memory of them is as impressionable teenagers, even though I am only 3-4 years older than them!
I always think about all of the good times which were had and am thankful for all of the awesome people who are still in my life to this day. I saw Kevin (BV) in June when I was out in Seattle. Katia and I always concert call each other for Brandi Carlile shows. We should all totally get together again if V does a real show sometime.

QFT!! :)
-
I had to urbandictionary QFT, G. I am losing my slang skills! haha. ;)
-
B-man, I'm disappointed in you! haha :P
-
Yeah it is amazing that some people still stay in contact with each other. I do miss the old days. There were a lot of great people I have gotten to know personally and that is what made those long travels worth it. I miss it!

Glad to hear you got that. Did you switch from retail right to being an advisor? If so that must have been a hell of a change.
-
Pretty much, Tylor. My education prepared me for it though. I also did career counseling for 21 months and worked in Financial Aid for 8.
-
ugh can you get me more finanical aid? i neeeeeed it

ugh can you get me more finanical aid? i neeeeeed it
If I'm not mistaken, financial aid is particular from institution to institution depending on what kind of financial aid you are talking about.

If I'm not mistaken, financial aid is particular from institution to institution depending on what kind of financial aid you are talking about.
Some things are set in stone such as how much Pell Grant funding you can receive and how much loan eligibility you have based on your EFC on your FAFSA, your credit load (full time, 3/4ths time, etc.), and number of credits completed, but additional funding such as institutional loans, grants, or work-study opportunities differ from school to school.

i haven't stayed friends with anyone unless you count daniel (highwaycruiser, remember him? lol). he's on my facebook & we chat every now & then when something backstreet or paula comes up. kept in touch with lani for a while too when it came to backstreet stuff, then we just kinda lost touch.
i think part of the reason i drifted from V's music is cuz i never connected with too many of her fans or her either (she's not as into the fans as some other celebs i really like & i couldn't relate to her at all besides the piano thing). i do miss the old times tho, when it was calm lol.
-
i'm still around. still lovin' vanessa. i keep in touch with a few people, but there's so many newbs now, i don't post very much anymore.
-
:P

Definately 'Old School; myself... I just went looking for BNN & Harmonium from my lil' stash in the walk-in wardrobe, and both cases were empty. I'm not saying they're missing (couretsey of my ex-flatemates) until I find them, but it will be hard to follow such an order with such inspiration :P
-
I joined back in 2006. Almost 4 years. It's not as long as others, but I have always listened to V starting with BNN. I became a huge fan after Harmonium came out. I don't post as much as before. With it being my senior year of High School its been crazy. Scholarship essays, FAFSA crap, deciding on a university, visiting it, placement testing, etc. Not to mention homework and I work too. I never have enough time anymore. I still listen to V all the time. I miss posting on here! I'm still hoping Vanessa comes out with another album soon.
-
Oldie here. Been a long time, that's for sure. I took some time off after high school and now four years later (yikes!) finishing up at a University of California. Still keep in touch with Will from here, not many others. I'm not really into the whole social networking thing, but I definitely have to get myself into it to hopefully work in the entertainment industry within the next few years and especially when it comes to internships in the biz. Hope everyone is doing well and I definitely miss you guys/gals and hope to have a little mini-reunion sometime in the future.
-
lol, I've been around since the old board. (2001 or 2002?), but eh
I only come around to fangirl Si these days. :p
-
Does that make you a Grandmother or Great-grandmother? Kidding. :)
-
haha, as long as I'm not falling down any stairs and can't get up. :P
