Hey, guys. I haven't heard from Vanessa since her Disney's "Eat to the Beat" performance. She doesn't tweet anymore (that's just too bad) and I have no news from her for a long time. Does someone knows what she's up to? When will she perform again? Anything? She seemed to have vanished into thin air!
Oh, and by the way, happy new year to all the nessaholics in this forum! You rock!

I think, well actually I hope, she's just in a creative zone, it always seems that the closer to an album release she gets quiet and disappears. Also I believe she struggles with depression and maybe the whole disney thing shook her up a bit?
I hope we hear from her soon though!

She just got done spending Christmas + New Year with family and friends. I believe she's still working on the album which should be out soon.

She's mentioned in the past that she struggles with it. I believe there is an interview on youtube where she mentions it.

I just said this to my sister! Every time, just before the release of the first single V disappears entirely, and then the next we hear, NEW ALBUM!!!

Maybe we should just try to wait patiently. I think she's just absorbed in the album-making process. If that's the case, then I'm pretty sure that the product will be very, very good.

I just hope London is in the album and that the new songs follow the style of the most recent ones she presented to us.

i'm just hoping that she'll go on tour again for the spring/summer after this amazingly brilliant album comes out and i'll get to experience the magic live once again!

Just think guys, it was just the holidays, and most everyone is getting back to work now. If Vanessa is self-producing, it's more pressure than having a producer around to crack the whip and make decisions and conduct sessions in her absence.
Couple that with her ADD and you see how this could take a while.
As a Vanessa fan, I've accepted that she doesn't particularly reach out to fans. She's said on many occasions that she loves and appreciates us, but sometimes it's honestly hard to buy; many of us would do our part to help IF ONLY WE WERE ALLOWED, but I've given up on that, too. I've concluded that, even though IMO it has hurt her she is comfortable keeping this distance. That's OK. That's her right.
There are wacko people out there and I get it. I'm happy to be a fan going on 8 years now, but bottom line, in the VC world, when it comes, it comes.

Ok, I've officially accepted that she lacks updating skills, etc. I can now move on and continue waiting for the music. I've also liked V for going on 8 years(WOW! TIME FLIES) and as much as I throw out constructive criticism, it's only because I know shes capable of keeping her existing fanbase more updates, hellos, etc. But I will accept it..... I should have along time ago!! Ahh, feels better.

Personally if I was V I would probably stay away from fans too. People get crazy. I think it's ok that we are a little in the dark and after 8 years we all should be used to it. ;)
I too have been a V fan for somewhere around 8 years, and have never once seen her live, this is my year, that's the biggest reason I want this album DONE!

Just wait 'til you see her in person. However beautiful she looks in pictures, she is absolutely, drop-dead GORGEOUS in person. When she performed at Joe's Pub in NYC at the end of '07 after H & T came out, we had the first table, literally touching the stage and maybe 6 feet away from her...breathtakingly beautiful...and SO talented...sigh...

Some people are saying that she suffered/suffers (?) with depression and that the Disney thing may have shook her up a bit....

Well hopefully she knows that some of her fans have her in their thoughts. I've had to deal with depression myself when I was younger. The last couple of years have been hard for me, but that was complications from isolation sickness, not depression As long as you have the right people by your side you can get past almost anything.
Kick butt Carlton! Or in other words, keep rocking.

If you live on planet earth, you are going to go thru some kind of depression...it's called LIFE!!!
V fans have been saying this for years about her....everyone goes through this...if you don't, your just not human, or you are not out there living.....if you work, go too school, go out into the world at all!!! your going to deal with stress, depression, ups and downs....this always comes up when things are slow...and then she releases a song called 'nolita fairytale'. enough with the depression stuff...

People just nabbed onto that. Artists are known to become depressed, we are uber sensitive, therefore life effects us in a profound way.
I agree, stop dwelling and just be glad we have her.

i just hate how people assume she is dealing depression.....assumptions like that cause rumors...not good. just let her be and in her own time, when she is ready, she will release her music.
