It's amazing too me that this hasn't been mentioned ANYWHERE on her Myspace, Official site, Twitter...nothin'.  I mean if I was a fan near by I'd be hesitant to buy tickets if I haven't heard/read that it was official from camp vanessa or vanessa herself.

Even that she's singing songs by The Who, maybe she'll sing at least one new song, who knows? If the rumors are true and the new album is coming out March/April, she could use this show to present the new single or something...

I'm pretty sure ONLY The Who songs will be played at this event...nothing original from the artists playing them.....Whats up with all these tributes? First The Beatles(which V backed out of) and now The Who? Hmm......

I want to go, but I'm hesitant to buy tickets since it's not confirmed. And it's expensive. How about some free tickets send down from the management gods?  ;D

Here is the answer of a YouTube user who went to the Carnegie Hall last night :(

Quote
hi ... I don't recall anyone named Vanessa Carlton from last night ... and don't see her on the artist list. Sorry, didn't get the Choir that performed at the start of the show unfortunately.

I sure hope that person's memory is fucked, because if Vanessa cancelled (again) without telling the fans, that's a pretty shitty thing to do and it's not gonna make many fans want to go see her for a) fear of being cancelled on, and b) pulling crappy stunts like this.

So again, I really hope that person's memory is playing tricks on them.

it was never announced officially..but she was listed on the official website that she was going to play....along w/ many other sites promoting the event.

this blog confirms(somewhat) that v was there.

http://wwwwhatever-amy.blogspot.com/2010/03/who-and-mose-allison.html

probably doesn't remember vanessa being there because she barely talks on stage and when she does she hides behind her hair like cousin it.

Whether it was announced by her or not isn't the point. It was announced on their site and her name was apart of the line-up they sent out. Not everyone checks her site.

BUT...

If you say it looks like she was there, then all is well. And lmao @ the hair comment.

lol yeah...can't believe she/they couldn't confirm or deny weaher or not she was involved or not.  whens the last time we got a 'note' from her? has it been over a year already?  since january 2009? wow.

I was looking on her Twitter, and she was sharing stories and info about the album, saying she'd talk more about the title + childrens' choir she's been working with. Months later, she updates with a tweet about a charity. No mention of the album. I'm sure the next one will be when her album is released, lol.

I think, not really sure, that we can see her in the first 7 seconds, the woman in black who leaves the scene to the left.

What an amazing place. It must be wonderful to watch Vanessa from there. The scenario is so big, and you could focus all of your attention on her. I would so buy the ticket! Although I'd have to starve for a month, haha. Anyway, what an amazing place. I wish I could be there...

Did anyone confirm or deny that Vanessa performed?  I actually am acquaintances with one of the other guys on the bill and can ask him in a few weeks if need be.

Ok, here's the deal.  I spoke to Willie Nile, who performed that day, and someone else who attended the concert, and neither of them remember seeing VC play.
