So, a while back I had this dream about Vanessa. I was in a classroom, in a math class, I look over and Vanessa is sitting right next to me! I have to say I was quite shocked at that lol, and shes listening to an ipod and she said, I have something for you, so I'm like what? She told me it was her new album, Rabbits On The Run. Thats what she was listening to on her ipod lol, so as soon as she took off the headphones and was about to put them on my ears, I woke up. I hate when dreams seem so real and then you wake up and feel sooo disappointed! lol
But yeah, it was a pretty neat dream, just thought Id share. :)

I had a dream she was performing at my high school last night, it was so real I woke up and thought it actually happened haha.
She performed the explicit versions of White Houses and Heroes & Thieves...they were..interesting lol. Oh then she there were technical difficulties when she tried singing "Firework" by Katy Perry...it sounded alright : ). Then I got to talk with her as we drove around in my man van, I forgot where we were going haha. I've been having so many dreams about her recently, including the studio version of London, which sounded amazing! ;)

Its fun, hearing about all these Vanessa dreams! I cannot wait until this album comes out. I really help it does well. Listening to Harmonium and H&T I really can't understand why labels didn't try and promote better. They're such great albums.

they really are great albums, however I have to admit when Harmonium first came out I didn't get it. It didn't fit into my life as BNN had fit into my life when it came out. Only as a grew older and listened to it more did it realllly come to fruition for me. So I can see how others might not 'get it' so to speak, even the people at record companies because they only see dollar signs not true, raw, talent such as our V.

i had a dream about her once and she came to my house and just walked right inside. she ten continued to go upstairs and into my mothers room where my mom and little brother were lying on my moms bed. Vanessa then got into the bed with them and lay down. when she left she hugged everyone but me. no one in my family even likes her. i was so mad she didnt hug me lol

I had a similar dream! I was at show and she reached out to touch everyones hands then came down and signed autographs for everyone but me! Then I went to my favorite diner and she was there working under the name "katie" she said she worked there all the time but I had never seen her before. So I played along and tried to strike up a conversation.
When I sat down to write about the dream I figured out it's about my feer of rejection.. I always think about meeting her and how great it would be, but that I have nothing to offer her in return. I am not an artist of any sort by any means. I don't even write that well or often; I would just be one of those blabbering (problably screaming fans) who just say how much she has influenced my life and blah blah, nothing she hasn't heard before, when I'd like to be unique in her eyes (but I know I never would be)

aww that really sucks! id probably do the same thing though, i mean i dont really have that much to offer her other than that i do ballet too. it would be so awesome to meet her though!

I didn't know she rode horses either. *new wrinkle* Oh, it was most definately a fear dream! I'm glad I'm not the only one with the same fears. Vanessa is one of those people I wish I could be and/or be friends with! haha. So unrealistic, but in a dream world...

Really weird how I was so jealous of all of you lucky enough to see V in your dreams...Haha. Then I had one with her in it the other night! ahhh!! ahaha
I was waiting outside and I hear someone playing London so I go into the building and there she is and she gives me a hug and tells me to go and get her friend...

OK had a really weird dream about Vanessa last night.
She was playing a concert but wasn't playing at the piano, she was just standing up singing, I was one of the backing guitarists, which is a bit strange since I can't play ;D I was doing a top job on guitar though ;D. Vanessa suddenly walked off stage, I carried on playing guitar but then the mic went and I was trying to fix it.
Anyway Vanessa came back on stage and was kind of upset, she told the crowd that she wasn't even going to play the concert as she was sick that morning, thanked everyone and left the stage, I followed her off the stage, she was crying at this stage, I asked her what was wrong? crying she said, we must always stick together because.......... my alarm went off >:( >:( I tell you what I felt like throwing the alarm against the wall, I was so disappointed to wake up.

lol, that happens to me and then it just comes back all of a sudden when you least expect it (sometimes). It can help to NOT think about it.

my post should have read "had" not "has" lol, typing too quickly.
It's weird because I think I woke up after the dream, well I was half awake and can recall making a mental note to myself "remember Vanessa dream" then fell back asleep again, of course I couldn't remember it.
It is actually the 4th Vanessa Related dream I have had.
The first one, I was walking with her down a street,that was it, all I know is, that in the dream we are friends :D, I don't know where the street was, it felt like some European city, not here in Dublin or London, somewhere else.
Second one, she does not appear in the dream, but I am in Harrods in London( famous dept store), I even know which department I'm in, so it seems very real, and I hear a guy singing with a backing band and he has a big crowd around him and I can hear the lyrics clearly
"and all you'll hear is music, and beauty stands before you, and love comes around again" . I start shouting excitedly over and over again ;D " that's Vanessa Carltons Song Carousel " but nobody can hear me :(

I had another Vanessa dream last night!
So, I guess that somehow Rabbits on the Run had leaked onto the internet, so I downloaded it (I assume all this happened, I don't remember it in my dream) and put it on my iPod. Then when I came home from school, I went into the living room so I could go listen to and enjoy it. The only song I remember hearing was Fair Weather Friends, except she changed the name to Magical Thinking. I vaguely remember hearing it in my dream, but I do remember that it was a clear, obviously studio version.
I was so happy when I woke up. :) I love having these Vanessa dreams! In the other one I had a while ago (I think I posted this one in an old thread :\) I dreamt that Vanessa was there with me at the piano helping me learn how to play Half a Week Before the Winter. I didn't see her though, but her hands were there. Weird, I know. But the next day (not in my dream) when I went to practice HAWBTW, I could play the parts I was having trouble with! It was a very magical feeling. :)

Last night I had a dream that I was playing More Than This on piano, which is one of my goals, to play piano...so weird cause it felt like I was awake the whole time I was doing this...but when I actually woke up I was in my bed, VERY weird experience.

I dreamt last night that Vanessa came to visit our choir at high school (I'm not in high school anymore but I was in choir) since she had heard we had a kick-ass choir version (plus piano) of "London". When she came in, I was pretty much hysterical because it was freakin' Vanessa Carlton and she was here to listen to us, a choir in Vancouver! So we started to sing it with Vanessa playing piano and it was really great for the first bit but as the song went on, more and more people started zoning out or becoming bored or didn't know the words and stopped singing. Eventually, I ended up being the only one singing while everyone stood looking around, bored, which was kind of embarrassing. When we got to the bridge of the song, she stopped playing. I asked if she wanted to go on and she didn't answer, just looked disappointed, and I was definitely disappointed with my choir, who, I think, by this point, somehow all went home, haha.

Vanessa wasn't in the dream per-say, but her music was. We were having a family party and someone had a karaoke machine where we could upload our own music. So of course we had an all Vanessa themed karaoke party where we all chose a Vanessa song to sing. I picked Rinse, but then I thought maybe I should have picked All is Well but wasn't sure I could hit the high notes, not that I could hit all the notes in Rinse but it might be easier for me. And that's it! I thought it was funny because everyone in my family and friends know how obsessed I am!

Vanessa has once again been front and center in a dream of mine. She was doing a show and started with White Houses. She started doing the introduction to the song but mixed it up some and at one point was playing with her elbows (and still sounded fantastic) and at another point she put a pencil under a piano key; the resulting sound was some what staccato (but also sounded fantastic) Then she began the song. That song never actually finished in my dream. Instead her hair was all of a sudden blond and in an up-do with a barrette/hair clip on the side of her head. Then she began singing a new song. She was about two lines in when hands appeared on her head touching the hair clip. She stopped singing and a body appeared (owner of the hands) It was a man, her manager or something and he said there was a malfunction of the hair clip which was part microphone and they had to stop. Then Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt came down the aisle and to the stage. They were sporting a young baby and English accents and proceeded to do a live action skit of some sort. They asked Vanessa to play a part and then they said she should be in the movie, even though she would be made into a large bug, mostly digital, she would named in the credits.
That is where Vanessa's part in the dream ends!

I had a dream yesterday. It wasn't initially about her, but she got yanked in - and after thinking about it, I now know why.
So I was dreaming that I was at work and running away from an alien attack. Me and a few co-workers were crouching under rubble and stuff, then I hear Stevie's voice saying "...The only reason I'm singing this with her is 'cos I love the song so much and we're such good friends ... I think she's one of the great ones and I've listened to this record a thousand times .." (basically the whole speech before V performed Carousel). Anyway, I was like 'wtf? Stevie? WTF?' and then suddenly V was crouched next to me under the rubble singing "Carousel". And you know how dreams can be where it leaves one "scene" for another .. so I'm now just listening to Vanessa singing and bopping my head & stuff, and then I hear the clapping at the end and wake up.
I realised I'd left "Carousel" from the Sunset Sessions on repeat blasting away into my ears with my headphones on, lol. It was an interesting dream.

god, i had a vanessa dream last night. first time, i guess. it was soooooooo amazing.
so, i was in my car and had just bought rabbits on the run. i could see the cover, it was definetly dark. i started listening to it, but i only remember carousel. I NEVER THOUGHT IT WAS POSSIBLE TO LISTEN TO A SONG IN A DREAM, BUT I TOTALLY COULD HEAR IT! god, it was wooooonderful, there were some drums on it, it was so clear, so pure. can't even explain it. it was just so nice, i felt so close to rabbits on the run. hope it happens again... i wanna listen to fair-weather friends hahaha.

I had a Vanessa dream last night.
All I remember is that ROTR came out, and the cover was that new picture that was posted online. I looked at the tracklist on the back, but it was a bit different, and there were some new songs with weird titles. Then Vanessa was having a concert, and I got tickets to it, but I had really bad seats. I was in the back and people were blocking my view. Then Vanessa said she was going to play new songs from ROTR, and I tried to get closer so I could see better, but I had to go around all these people and they were screaming, so I couldn't see or hear. By the time I got back to my seat, she was playing White Houses, and then that was the end of the show. So I basically missed the whole show. :(

She took us to a board meeting type room with a long table and chairs all around it but it was dimly lit. She and her management/razor and tie began handing out stuff to us all excited. They said that the pictures were stills from the video and pictures that would run in an upcoming magazine. As we were all excitedly looking through them the tone changed and they had bad news about her tour.. they never got to the bad news, I woke up! I think I read read Dan's post about her tour before I went to bed last night. LOL. I hope you and my dream are not right!

Had two Vanessa dreams last night ;D
First dream, I was in a studio (although it really didn't look like one) and I was chosen to do backing vocals for a song on the album ;D was for a track that I have never heard before, Vanessa was there next to me and so was a Producer, it wasn't Steve though,and quite a few fans also.
Anyway I had three lines to sing at different times during the song, I sung my first line perfectly but kept messing up the second one :( :( Vanessa started to get slightly annoyed with me :o :( I kept on telling her it was not my fault as I had never heard the song before and didn't know the melody, she then said she had 30 new fans here including myself and she was going to try someone else :'( :'( :( that person was awful though, so she asked for me to do it again, ;D she took my hand and said, don't worry, I know you will get it right :) My alarm went then, I am sure though if the dream had continued, I would have nailed the lines :)
I had set my alarm slightly earlier then I needed, so I turned it to snooze and was asleep again almost immediately. Anyway second dream is kind of weird, I am not really in the dream myself, it relates to a DVD that will come with the album,the DVD will have 9 parts, it is set in a garden similar to the one where she recorded the album in England, anyway Vanessa is in the garden with two other guys, the guys she worked on the album with, and she is dancing and is really happy that the album is finished and she is singing the words " It's a Carousel My Friend" over and over again, one of the guys sighs deeply and tells Vanessa to give it a rest :o ( although it is said in a joking way).
Then Steve Osborne is speaking about Vanessa and he is saying what a great songwriter she is, and what a pleasure it was for him to work with her, and that he hopes the fans will enjoy the album as she has made it especially for us :) Alarm goes for a second time, time to get up :(

I remembered one I had a few nights ago, although this was more of a nightmare:
I knocked on Vanessa's door and she opened it. It looked like she just got out the shower because her hair's wet (brushed to the side on one of her shoulders) and she's in a towel. She says "yeah?" and I'm speechless. So all I can do is sing "and beauty stands before me..." and she looks at me weird and slams the door shut in my face.
Then it faded into another dream.

Last night I had a dream that I listened to thirty second samples of every song on the album, and that those two bonus tracks that were listed on Wikipedia were there. All I remember hearing was IDWTBAB and the piano from Fairweather Friends, though. I was so excited, haha.
I had another dream forever ago where I listened to the whole album at night while trying to sleep, and it was much, much longer than it really is. Also, TTFS wasn't on it, and I was very disappointed since I think it's probably going to be my favorite. :(

With all the excitement of the new video I forgot to post this.
My Third dream in less than a week :o and you guys are all in it,even though I don't know what you look like ;D
Anyway Vanessa is doing a special gig especially for Nessaholics in London, the venue is quite small and dark, no stage in the place so we are basically right beside her, she goes to play her first song, but the electrics in the place don't work so her keyboard and microphone don't work. She starts to cry :( and softly says how sorry she is, and that she wanted this to be very special for us, but will have to cancel.
Someone shouts out angrily :o that we have come all this way to see her and that the very least she can do is have her photo taken with us. So she agrees to, I have my camera with me and go to hand it to one of you guys when it is my turn, and the female nessaholic says not to worry that she has a camera and will take the photo with her camera, so she does, it is supposed to be a digital camera but when the photo is taken and I go to view the picture, it is not a digital camera, it is one of those old cameras that you have to put the film in, except she hasn't put the film in properly, so my photo with Vanessa will not turn out, I'm totally devastated :'( :'(

I've had four dreams with Vanessa in them.
1. I was in my german class then Vanessa started to teach our class, then she started to sing ATM and so did the whole class.
2. I was in a mall on a balcony type thing. Vanessa was standing next to me, then we both started to do pull-ups on the railing (I have no clue where this came from) :P
3. I dreamt that she lived next to me. I was standing outside of her door waiting for her to come out, then I started to go back to my house. I turn around and she comes out of her house with an angry look on her face. When she sees me she has an "Aww" look on her face (I don't know why) :P She signed a piece of paper in pencil, then in pen. Next she signed a white board twice. Then she was using that gell glitter and made a very fancy drawing (that took forever!)
Then I woke up and relized that I never met her and she didn't sign anything :'(
4. Vanessa was playing the piano in the middle of a house. Then either Dr.Grey(big grey) Or Dr.Yang from Grey's Anatomy go up to her while she's playing the piano and stick a shot in her arm. And I just stood there like.... ???..... (weird dream :P )

LOL I'm glad you enjoyed it. I didn't even realize it was my dream you had responded too, at first. I don't remember it that well now! Too bad because it sounds AWESOME.

But I don't know where I was, but I saw her somewhere and she was sitting down and I got all excited and was like ah! omg i love you and you're music...blah blah blah and then she was going to leave but i asked her if she would wait while i went to look for camera. and she agreed so off i go. and it took me FOREVER. there were so many distractions, but i finally got the camera. and so i went back in the same direction of where i had seen her then i turn and look out a window and she is driving off. And then i woke up and was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I didn't get the picture!!! ):

I was looking at a Birdseye veiw of a highway that only Vanessa and Victor was on. They were on a piece of metal, that I guess was a car. ( back to normal veiw) Then her and some other dude arrive at a house with a gate. When the dude opens the gate she says "Once you close that gate the contract goes into effect." Then he wasn't going to close it, but he did. After that she was just looking at some people at the house.

3rd dream this week. I was in line to meet her and she was going to sign my songbooks and album sleeves, and then i woke up :(

How cool.. hahaha! I agree. Dreams can be so disappointing. They really do lead you on, and they're just appear so realistic! I had a dream where I met V again, but this time I was at one of her shows, and later when the show ended, I snuck backstage and was able to talk to her and play some piano for her. Definitely a dream. Heh.

A little while ago, I dreamt there was a "grocery store" full of Vanessa stuff like mugs, puzzles and other random knickknacks. Towards the back of the store, there was a cafeteria-like window in which workers were handing out vinyls of Rabbits with a price tag of $80. Upset about the cost, I left it in an aisle and started browsing at all the little Vanessa souvenirs.
Then I woke up...

Vanessa did not star in the dream. Rather it was me trying to follow her directions from the carousel tutorial. I was attempting to play the keyboard based off the video. I was doing pretty well until I added in the left hand. I am not a piano player, so the dream was full of frustration at not being able to do it very well at all.

A few nights ago, after seeing the guitar tabs for Dear California on here, I had a dream that I was playing it for a group of people, despite the fact that I have no guitar experience whatsoever. It was blatantly wrong, but in my dream it was right haha

Last night I had a dream that I got to sit down and talk with Vanessa Carlton about her music and all kinds of stuff. We just chatted for like a long time and then I asked her "Do you go online frequently?" and she responded with "Sometimes." So, then I told her that if she didn't already know, she has a pretty rockin' fan base called the Nessaholics online. And she like didn't really remember at first and then came around and just knew about us. Then I was talking to her about the vinyl collection and she wasn't aware that they were all sold out and got really upset that they were and said she was going to do everything that she could to produce more copies. then, one of her agents or managers from the label handed me what looked like a smaller version of a vinyl but was something completely different (it was a dream i don't remember exactly what it was) and it was the album just in a different format that I had never seen before. So, I like secretly showed her it and slid down my sharpie and had her sign it for me. Lastly, I was like are you going to tour soon by yourself and have an even more amazing show for us? And she said yes, after I'm done with Matt's tours I'm starting mine up right after.
I wish this whole dream were real. It was absolutely amazing and I thought I'd share it with you guys!

A while ago I had a dream that I heard a song in some random store. I guess the song was supposed to be "Where The Streets Have No Name" Vanessa's cover, because I said "Hey! It's Where The Streets Have No Name!" It didn't sound like it though, it sounded like a deranged muttled mess. I was so excited and I couldn't wait to put it on the "Where have you randomly heard Vanessa" board.
Last night I dremt that Vanessa was sitting behind me in a class. My friend and I were laughing hysterically. I wanted to say that I was a fan, but I didn't. She then moved to the seat next to me. We got a test back and both of us failed. Er, we got an E-, whatever that's supposed to mean.
Then the dream skipped and we were both in New York City. We were just walking, then for some reason we started running. We ended up at a place that had a stage. When I was standing I was able to swing my legs (like when you're sitting down. The swinging was involuntary too.) Vanessa got mad at me because I got her shoes dirty from doing that. (Because I accidently brushed the bottom of my shoe on the top of hers.) So did my dad because I got his shoes dirty too.
I also had a dream where me, Vanessa, and some random people were in a dorm room. We just did random things (the dream was very skippy) Somehow I got Vanessa in trouble and she was going to be expelled, but then she got out of trouble.

I dreamed last night that I was listening to my area's "hit music" channel and they played "My Best." I was a little confused but so excited!

had a dream today about Vanessa sitting at a merchandise table with some other artists (presumably from Razor and Tie) She had some random things like greeting cards, and a little book made of recycled paper (like to write in) that also included some of her own notes. When I finally got up to her, I realized I had the wrong purse, it had no money in it. She was gracious enough to wait for me to come back before she left. There was a lot of stuff in between getting the other purse and coming back to her that is fuzzy now, but when I finally got back to her I realized I had the right purse after all.

She even came off the stage and was doing impromptu meet and greet actually have full conversations with the people. It almost felt like it was a private party with her friends that I (and my mother...) some how got in to it. When she came around to me, I barely said two words so she was off talking with others.

ohhh, it wasn't a snub on her part, it was because I wasn't saying anything!

So I had an extremely random Vanessa dream. She was playing a show at the building where I work. She was doing a soundcheck in the parking lot with her black grand piano and then all of a sudden there is another piano out there. My boss is out there too and she asks him if he can play piano and he says yes. Then they start to play a duet together on the two pianos and it sounds really good! So she asks him if he can play the show with her. Then all of a sudden we're all inside, and Vanessa is sitting on the floor singing and acting as if she is playing piano on the carpet (?!). People start yelling out stuff which at first I think is her song names then I realize it's the name of Harry Potter books. She starts to sing a song but keeps messing up and then she gets frustrated and stops.

Last night I dreamt that V was going to release an special edition of ROTR with two cd's one of them with some new songs. One of the new song was called 'Mi sweet your sweet' or something like that. That edition had also a few images like the star map poster featuring "in the end". The image was a dead end in a forest where suddenly the trees become dead.

I had a dream the other night that I was doing a duel piano with Vanessa to Carousel. We also had a 100 person choir and it sounded really amazing and I wish I could have that happen!
Also, another dream I've been having was that her and I became really good friends and we hung out a lot and talked about her favorites places to go hang out in NYC and places to eat at. I wish i remembered those haha
