I'm almost 100% that I will be going to this show. The down side to living in DC is that there is no need for a car, and this is the ONE venue that it is impossible to get to by metro alone. Will anyone else from the DMV area be going that would be interested in carpooling?

I checked on Google Maps and it seems like there's a bus going there from downtown DC. But if anyone is going, I'd be glad to carpool too (I don't drive but I can chip in for gas money).

My sister lives in Fredericksburg so I'll probably be going to her house first then to the venue. Not too familiar with northern VA but if anyone would like a ride from the Fredericksburg area let me know

DC does have a metro (subway) system, I've used it before, but not extensively.

My husband played at this venue when he was in a band and it is pretty small. I hope the tickets don't sell out crazy fast like Joe's Pub!

After looking on the website, I see that it is somewhat metro accessible: http://jamminjava.com/home/main/contact. The biggest thing will be getting a cab once the show is over, but since it begins so early I don't think it will be a problem. :-)

Kulp, do you mean transportation to DC or to the show in general? I'm more than happy to help people figure out the metro, bus, taxi, etc. as I live in DC :-) The venue is a little out of the way, but not as hard to get to as I had thought!

I was nervous back in Feb. when I went, but maybe that's because I was by myself? I dunno, it's just the nerves and excitment I think. And the possibility of meeting her would make me nervous and I get nervous in social situations in general, so I totally understand!

That was posted on Jammin' Java's Facebook page the day the tickets when on sale (Friday, May 13th). I think its pretty cool!

What time are people arriving/would anyone want to get there a little early and grab some dinner beforehand? They serve some dinner food and drinks before and during performances. I'm planning on just going right after work, and will probably be there around 6:30 or so.
