Most shows are all ages at Largo but don't take my word for it! I hope she's playing the little room!!
-
It said all ages unless otherwise stated. Really hoping to go too... but would be a bummer if it's not all ages because I'm only 17.
-
Yeah, I'm only 18 too. I guess I'll call them to confirm whether or not I can go. I really hope this one is all ages though.
-
I got my ticket too! 8)
-
Got my tickets this morning! I am SO excited for this. Not only will this be my first Vanessa Carlton concert, it will be my first concert ever!!! :)

-
I'm so excited! I've been waiting to see Vanessa for like three years, and now I get to!!!!!!!!! ANd it's the day after my birthday! All so exciting. :) I, like some others here, did also wonder if it was all ages, and am so happy that it is! Yay!

does anyone know if she is going to have a full band backing her, or if its just going to be vanessa singing on piano?
I called jenna rosen at razor and tie, and she said to call matt something, on tuesday.
I really hope its a full band :)

I don't think any info has been released on what kind of set up these shows are going to be but judging from her recent shows it's probably going to be very stripped has it has been for some years.
I am in the Riverside County area and would be willing to pick anyone up in the general area who would need a ride.

I do think Ari will be there at least since a handful of the songs have a lot of guitar in them and he's been with her a lot lately.

Well, I think that it's just going to be an acoustic set. V is into this home-y and intimate vibe.
-
I think we should have a vc party in l.a. listen to some her cd's, grab a bite to eat, and get their early for the best view :)
who's with me?
-
I'm totally down to chill! :) I know some good places in the San Bernardino, La County area! Also I have an Extra ticket to the show! I'm thinking of raffling it off to someone on my site http://v-carlton.net or give it away. I'm seriously looking into going to the san fransisco show the day before also but I have no ride XD
-
I would really like to see her with Skye, but I don't think she would have both Skye and Ari there with her at the same time.
-
Hey is there anybody near the San Bernardino area who could possibly carpool? I'll pay for gas :(
-

Weren't they both together with her at that Mobile Upfront gig she did recently?
-
YAY!!!! just realized yesterday that there's one more month left!!!! Like, yesterday there way!!! So close yet so far away! :) can't wait!
-
Since it is one month away I decided we should really have an after show hangout/dinner :) There are a few places near the largo. Any ideas anyone?
-
I know their is a fuddruckers near by.
try yelp.com
that always help me find food lol

I've never gone to a concert before, so I don't know how early I should show up. About how many hours before the performance time should I plan to get there? Thanks.
-

Well, usually you could just get there like a half hour before, but Largo is a different venue. You have to pick up your tickets there the night of the show, which, if the seating is arranged, means that i would pick up my tickets earlier rather than later. I am going to try to get there around 6:30, and then go eat and come back. If the seating isn't arranged, well, then I don't know what do do. :P This is also assuming that you want to get the best seats you can get. :)
Oh, okay! :D Thanks for the info. That's good to know. I was thinking I would have to get there HOURS before because I've heard of people doing that for other concerts. But I guess this is different because it's a smaller venue.
Also, has anyone noticed that the Largo site now says that Maia Sharp will be joining her? Is that like a separate performance or is she with Vanessa? I don't know who she is. I'll look her up.

Also, just to add on... I emailed Largo and asked if seating would be assigned, and they said yes. The earliest anyone can pick up tickets is 6:30. I shall be there then to pick up tickets. Also, with this Maia Sharp, that show might be in the other part of Largo, commonly known as the Little Room. But I have no idea, if it's at eight, I would predict that they are separate... or maybe an opening act? :) i don't know! :)
-
Not sure if I want to go. My roommate said she would want to go, but V's past attitude and concert disappointment is enough to make me want to skip out on any shows this tour.
-
@Manda, seriously? That's a silly reason not to go IMO. You may regret it afterwards if you don't!
-
The show is in the bigger room..not the little room..and V does have an opening act. opener @ 8. V @ 9
-
Thanks. Um, what exactly does arranged seating mean though? (Sorry, that might sound like a stupid question :-\) Does that mean that our seats are already chosen, so that the people who get there the earliest don't get to choose the best seats? I'm new the whole concert-going scene, so I'm not familiar with this term.

Haha. i've posted way too much ehre... but whatever. At Largo, i'm not quite sure what arranged seating means. Looking at their sight, it seems that when you get there, you are given a seat. So the seats are given on a first come first serve style thing. So the earlier you get there, the better seats you get. As I stated above, the earliest you can get there is 6:30, so ya. But that is the deal for the show. :) See you there!
Also: Could someone help. This is a stupid question, but what time is the show? It says when yo buy tickets that the show is at 8, but on the schedule, it says 7:30. Great. i guess I'm gonna have to email them again. For like the thousandth time this week. :) lol.
PSS.... Do you think that she is gonna be meeting with us after the show? I hope that if we have to wait for her, it's not too long. :)
PSSS... is anyone bringing their camera? The Largo site says you can't, but I odn't know whether to take the risk. They say they might kick you out of the show, and I odn't know who would want that... :/

Oh, okay. The earlier the better, got it. :)
I think the opener starts at 8, and then Vanessa is on at 9, but I would check with them just to make sure.
I have a feeling that she will stay after to take pictures and stuff. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I have a feeling she will.
I am going to bring a camera, but I won't be recording during the show. I heard they have a strict no cell phone/camera policy, so I don't want to risk it. This is the first Vanessa show I'm going to and I'M SO PUMPED!!!!! so I don't want to take a chance. But I'm bringing it in case I get to take a picture with her after (hopefully!)
Also, I was thinking of bringing something for her to sign in case she comes out afterwards, but the only physical CD I have of her is Harmonium. Would that be weird if I asked her to sign one of her older records? Does any one else have any other ideas? Thanks.

ya. I have a feeling she will stay too. I have my fingers double crossed. :) I am going to bring my camera as well, for the same reason, and I don't think it's weird at all that you are bringing an old album. :) If you have like a photo or something that you could print out, that may be something else you could bring....ummm.... well, if you buy stuff at the show, you could have her sign that... haha.... just some ideas.... :)
-
Or your ticket stub, if worse comes to worst lol.
-
V said they will be selling Vinyl of ROTR at the shows so maybe you could pick up one of those..I'm sure she'd be happy to sign that for you.
-
Hmm, thanks guys. I guess I will go with bringing Harmonium and my ticket stub. I would buy the vinyl, but I really just want the CD because I don't have a record player. :D
-
If anybody is interested, this girl on Tumblr offered me her 2nd ticket to this show. I don't live near enough but if any of you do, you could try and contact her and see if it's still available. If anybody wants, I can post her url
-
The last time I went to go see her she would not sign anything unless you purchased merchandise there. She took some time before going to meet the fans. I think in her mind it was more of "meet the money" and leave. I have a feeling she'll act the same way, I would be surprised if she actually cared again! I would bring extra cash or credit to buy something that you can beg her to sign while she thinks it over.

You're just not very positive are you! I've never met her, I didn't follow closely in the past, but I feel like she has evolved a bit. And people have already commented that she has come out and signed things at the VA and PA shows. I'll let you know how Boston goes. But dang, girl!

Oh gosh, you have got to STOP with the bashing! Whatever happened to you was unfortunate but she never was like you described with me. She does care and you can tell sometimes she's tired and would like to leave but she still hangs around. She's a person, she can't be always happy or in the mood to do some things, and yet she does them (most of the time) because it's (kind of) part of her job.
So please, come out to the show in LA and see for yourself that she has "changed" (well, in general I'd say but not for me) and stop b***ing about it!
-
I'm so excited!!!! Less than two weeks! But I may not get to meet her... I heard it was more than an hour after she came out.... going to stay half an hour or forty five minutes..... that's my limit. Hope she comes out soon! :)
-
Yes, they are all about the magic of the show. They don't like our electronic devices and they do ask that you turn off your phone, not vibrate.
I never have done video there.

Manda, I have no idea what show you are talking about where that happened to you? She has never made you buy something to meet her. We talk to her all the time and don't have her sign or take a photo.
I know she has been foul in the past in some peoples experience/opinion but I really am confused.
Hope to see you at the show.

Who guess I'm lucky? I've met V twice and both times she was very nice and sweet. Took a photo with her 2 years ago at the Hotel Cafe show.
-
I really hope I do get to meet her, but I just hope I don't come off as too awkward if I do! Like I don't know what to say. Well, obviously that I adore her, and all, but I might just be in total shock and unable to talk properly. :D LOL
Byoungforever, I hope she doesn't take too long to come out either. I'm having someone come pick me up after, so I'm not sure how long I can wait either. :\ But I guess meeting her is just something extra. I just feel fortunate that I finally get to see her live after watching her on YouTube all these years!

I was thinking about this last night after meeting Vanessa for the first time (and how I felt rude and she was perfectly nice). If someone is negative all the time, that energy is out there. It comes off you in waves and people don't want to be around it, even if they don't know exactly why they can't put their finger on why they may not like someone. Some people are super sensitive to energies. So, if Vanessa is sensitive to the energies around us in this world, which she may very well be based on things she has said, things she reads, etc. then she may respond to negative energies she feels from people by being dismissive, and possible rude (and other times, I'm sure she's just tired because I know I'm no angel when I haven't slept well). This is just my theory. Very new-agey I know. But whatever you put out there in the universe it comes back to in threes, so if you want to be negative all the time, then negative things will keep on happening.

Very true Sara, I am definitely very sensitive to energies. To the point where I don't even need to be looking at a person, just be physically near them, and I can often feel the "vibe" they're giving off. More so with negative energies, they are so easy to detect.
And what you said about thinking negative, and therefore negative things happening... I can think of a few people in my life, and that just sums them up! It's kinda like the Law of Attraction - your thoughts influence your world; the things you think about are attracted into you life. So if you always things negatively, negative things will be attracted to you.

I was so nervous, I barely said two words. I just answered her questions. Couldn't bring myself to say all the things I've always wanted to tell her! :(

That is why I volunteer to give her letters.

Same situation here... but people for the last two or three shows said she came out relatively soon... lol... we'll just have to ask around a little. :) Anyone else down for some form of Nessaholic identification.. like a certain color clothing or something?

that's so nice of you :) I would have had you give her mine if she hadn't come out last night!

if anyone is interested, i have 2 extra tickets to this show.
the second they went on sale i bought 3 tickets and decided i'd figure out who's coming with me as the date came closer. and turns out everyone i know is going to be out of town, at weddings, etc etc so looks like i'm going alone, but that means i spent an unnecessary $50!! hahaha so let me know. i'm going to the show obviously so it'd be easy to just meet there
-
Hey does anyone know roughly how long the concert will be?
And also (last minute questions!) for the tickets, we just bring the computer print-out thing, right?

The show should b no longer than an hour and a half, and in terms of tix, ya. Just ring the print out. :)

There wasn't ever an opener so not sure about that but V's been playing around 70 mins.

Oh you mean on the recording when you call? Okay, I just called and the recording does say special guest...... That would be AMAZING if it was Stevie, but I think maybe they just mean Maia Sharp??? Fingers crossed for Stevie, though! ;D
-
aaaaaahhh..... I see... lol
-
I wanted to go to this show, but I guess I can't since it sold out.
I so want to meet her too!!!! Although, it seems kind of awkward in the picture when she doesn't touch the person. That's fine though since it's up to her... it just looks weird. Haha

lol, I thought that too. I'm glad that in the pic I got with her she stood pretty close and a little bit behind me, I think my arm was touching her chest so we weren't far apart. I can see why she wouldn't want to be close to people though, lol, what if the person smells? hehe
-
It better not be Stevie (no offence. I like her, but COME.ON).
Doesn't Ness know anyone else? Damn.

she had her arm around me the first (and only) time i ever met her... it probably just depends on her mood, i guess

Yay!!!!! two more days!!!!!! Just to let you know... if you want to introduce yourself, feel free. I am a teenage guy with dark hair and eyes (glasses, too). I shall be wearing probably all black, with boots. So ya... lol. if you wanna say hi, feel totally free!!!! Can't wait to meet some of you guys and see my first V show!!!!! :)
