Whoah, very nice job sobriquet 8) There are just several adjustments to make (I will edit my message once it will be fixed)

- The unknown from the demos, All is Well, Berdie, Morning Sting, Red Ditty, She Floats & C'est la Vie is actually phu (http://forum.nessaholics.com/index.php?action=profile;u=999) (not sure though)
- Carousel & Fair-Weather Friend by maag are missing (PM me if you lost them)
- The first link of All is Well doesn't work
- Pleased To Meet You Snippet was made by you :D
- Wrong link for In the End by maag

Oops. Sorry for the mistakes. It took me the whole afternoon to make this thread. I didn't had the time to recheck it.

I'll correct them. (:

EDIT: Done. (: Just tell me guys if there'll be any problems.

I was just wondering After watching the performance of DC at Bestbuy, if anyone could make a transcription of sheet music for it. I think that version had more piano in it - unless I'm hearing things! But it just sounded so pretty...

I've figured out the start of London of anyone wants the guitar notes for it as well . Let me know.

You wouldn't happen to have the bass notes that play at the beginning of the studio version of London would you?

Thank you SO much for putting all of this together.

DC is one of my favorites, so I would definitely appreciate it if you made some sheet music for that.  Just my two cents ;)

And ooh, I'm so happy someone made an updated version of FWF, with the key change and everything.  Now I just have to learn that and un-learn the old version XD

Musicnotes.com has posted "Carousel" and it looks like the melody isn't played in the right hand! YESSSSSSS: http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtdVPE.asp?ppn=MN0096095

Hopefully this is the version we'll get in the music book!

lol they actually made it unnecessarily complicated - if you play those middle c's with the left hand, it's a lot easier and the left hand's pattern actually makes sense lol.  That's how V does it, too.

I don't want to sound like an arse, but I think maag's and my transcriptions are better.  :P

My left hand for DC sounds so awkward since I just play arpeggios...and I gave up on HTB.

I don't know if this would be any use to you then:

It's pretty accurate, i don't think V plays entirely chords for the beginning, but it's something to work with, i suppose.

And because I have a sort of block with figuring out the gaps and unclear parts of the recordings we have of Dear California & Hear The Bells, I had a little detour. I posted a revised edition of FWF with violin arrangement, as requested by AG. It's on the first page already.

And I'll be doing DC one of this days. It would be a quite long work though, I guess. (:

None yet.

I apologize if I haven't posted anything lately. I've been busy and still going to be for the coming weeks.

Anyway, I've been sorting out my transcription of DC. I was already halfway done, so hopefully I'd finish it very soon.

I think I now know the bass notes for London:

It's better shown in this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgMRfawafJ8
and i don't know how to put the notes electronically into sheet music but the notes are basically:

Lowest E on the piano (x4)
Move up one octave to E (x4)
The A between the two Es (x8)

Hope that sort of helps..

Updated the list, FINALLY!  ;D This is a victory for me. (:

I posted London with the bass intro + guitar part intro on the list, just check them out.

And I posted my transcription of DEAR CALIFORNIA! Finally! I know some of you had already figured it out since I was very slow in making my transcription. I had a little confusion in-between my process of making the sheets for I was torn whether which version, the live or the recorded, should I follow. It is only the other day that I began to work on it again. I'm proud to say that I think it's fairly good. Nope, I don't think it is 100% accurate, but I think it's playable. And nope, I did not follow the vocal melody for the right hand. (:

i'm dying for hear the bells. any transcriptions?

Don't die just yet. I'm beginning to work on it. (: Hopefully it'll be out soon. It'll be worth the wait. I'll make sure of it. :D

Thanks for those who waited. (:

Somebody could just follow what's written in the piano book, and use a live video that we have if that would help? Atleast, so we get the general chords and stuff accurate =)

For those who waited for HTB for a quite long time, I am proud to say, I already finished it. And along the way, I can say that I fell in love with the song. And so, this work had been a labor of love. I hope that you'd love playing it as much as I do.

NOTE: I added some of my own improv in this one, so it's not really what V purely do. But I can say proudly that it's good. (: I hope it'll be worth your wait. Thanks to lilwizardman_gelo    for helping me figuring out some things on the way.

Does anyone have or can anyone work out the violin for the bridge of Bride, particularly for when Skye played it on the Rolling Stone cover, as I want to release my own little cover with preferably all the instruments of the original to commerate single no. 2

I believe it is a broken chord progression (ish) and I've only got :

D.      C.   E. C. G. B. D. D
(skies)                         (skies, we will...)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!! Since there was no H&T book and I cannot play by ear, you guys are my only hope at learning these songs. I very much appreciate your transcriptions.

Oh, and Sobriquet, do me a favour & 'update' my sheets b/c there were some mistakes in the previous ones (the rough copies) & but I think I got it right this time [I'm a perfectionist].

Well, there is. I actually had to fish back thru that old sheet music thread [w/ 30-some pages] that I remember being started 7 years ago (I've also remember posting in that thread during that time) to find it & save those images to my hard drive. It's a rather sloppy, incomplete arrangement [and more closely resembles the studio version], and I'm also gonna re-do it when I find the time; my computer's just been a bit ill lately [b/c it contains that crappy Windows Vista system & is 5 yrs. old (give or take)]. It's gotten to the point where I not only dread getting on it I have to turn it on multiple time for it to run normally. it's always been slower than I liked & it's (about damn) time for a new one & I, for one, can't hardly wait. :-\

And I updated the list. I added vanessapiana's Afterglow transcription.

No me, cause my keyboard is broken. But maybe I can post the .midi file?

Well, that's the purpose of the MID file... to let you know what the sheet music sounds like [I'm sure glad it exists]. I didn't really need a keyboard [or piano] to make my sheets [the nearest one is across town; wish I had my own, tho', lol]; I just needed my sense of hearing & the familiarity of the melody/harmony of the songs [of course there ain't nothin' wrong w/ adding a few improvisationals in there, also]. But it would certainly be a big help, tho'.

But a coupla weeks ago was the first time [in about a year] that I played & I've forgotten much of the songs I've learned, so it looks like I'm gonna have to re-learn this stuff.

Moreover I haven't been in the mood [and it's just too hot right now] to take that long walk across town to the music building at this university, wherein the rules & stuff -- or whatever -- have gotten a little stricter (so going over there isn't as much fun as in times past) so I don't have access to my favourite pianos [especially the baby grands] like I used to, but I've found a loophole, luckily.

BTW, those unknown sheets made back in way back there... much of them were by Phu.

I second this, it's sounds so good in that style like u video. Reminds me of TML in the Rabbits video, you could hear it in the background and it sounds beautiful. I've posted this in the Phantom Friends group on Facebook and ill put it on here.  I've just worked out a descending g, f, e, d, c, b flat, a and then g, f, e, d, c, d. I know it's simple but that's all I've managed to do.

There's a program called "Everyone Piano", the best program (w/ 88 keys) that I've found so far. You can upload it to your computer and go from there. It's also free and has some cute skins to choose from. There's also a Rhodes Piano feature up there that I love. I've found it pretty useful during the transcription & notation process. ;D

I figured out the chords to Young Heart if that's the 'new song' you've been asking about :p

It's on ultimate-guitar : http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/v/vanessa_carlton/young_heart_crd.htm

The version on ultimate-guitar is a bit messed up though because the instrumental after the bridge should be : C - G - C - G - C - G - Em - D instead of what I wrote which is another intro. I noticed it right after sending it and then submitted another correct version but it's not on the website yet. Guess I should have created an account so I'd be able to edit my tabs..

Hope this will help!  ;)

I don't know how to make sheet music.  :( I have figured out some of the notes played in the right hand but no the left hand.

If you want to make sheet music, then there are a couple of free-(ware) software programs you can download... here they are:

-MuseScore (http://musescore.org/) (You can make sheet music with this program; I've been using this one myself ever since January 2012. "The Wreckage" was the first one I did with MuseScore.)
-Everyone Piano (http://www.everyonepiano.com/) (This application can help you figure out the notes with a beautiful 88-key keyboard/piano that you can add different skins to.)

Hope this helps. :)

Hi everyone!  I learned "Blue Pool" on the piano just recently.  Would anyone be interested in a YouTube tutorial?  I would love to transcribe the music because I feel that it would be easier, but I don't know how.  So if anyone has advice on how to do that, I would appreciate it! :)

I'd definitely appreciate a tutorial if you're considering making one!

Sure thing, I'll try and film something this week, but I'll post the link on here for everyone to see. Then maybe someone else can transcribe it for everyone else since I'm not sure how to do that! :)

Hey all! I haven't been on here in a while... ya know, life.
Anyways, I was bored this morning and decided to write up some sheets for Blue Pool.
I only have the intro, but I've seen a lot of people on the forum waiting for someone to do it, so I figured I'd share.

ETA she likes to make up her own rhythms sometimes, I swear. So, to my knowledge the right hand is correct with those few random little notes in the lower octave lol.

Hi, everyone!

I updated the masterlist, to include the three latest sheets we have from Liberman. If anyone would be so generous to put up sheets for "Unlock the Lock" and "Ascension," we'd already complete Liberman sheets. Thanks!
