Excited for some new songs! ;D Even if not new songs, maybe some earlier versions of ROTR songs. Vanessa's mentioned in interviews how different they used to sound.
edit: Just watched V's new LP33 interview, and she mentioned that every song was custom-written for the record, and if it didn't live up to the quality, the writing wasn't finished. Before, she's mentioned not knowing exactly where she was going to go next with her music because she is in "the rabbit hole" , so I do wonder what this is. I hope it's not false information.

Hmm I wonder what their definition of EP is? If it's the standard four or so songs, then we might have something really exciting to look forward to. But I'm worried that their definition of an EP is releasing "Bride" as a single with an acoustic version and calling it an EP cuz it's more than one track XD That probably (hopefully) won't be the case, though.
Maybe we'll get Moneymaker!

Or.. she could be re-distributing more batches of the original vinyl? New stuff would be fantastic to see, but I don't get the vibe that she'll be making any alterations, etc. to ROTR.

I don't want to get my hopes up. I hope it's new material, but I have a feeling it's just cover songs, including "Like A Virgin" and the other that was released. I mean, that's if the EP thing is even real. Good thing is, an EP can be as many as eight songs. :)

Extended play. Sort of a record, though too short to be called a record. But it is certainly more than a single. More like 5-8 songs. Like a short record. ;D

I would be happy even if this EP was just of the covers she has been doing because they all sound so lovely! But, what would make me so happy along with other fellow NESSAholics is if she would do songs that she hasn't released or she's played live that we'd all enjoy to hear. I am wishing for the track from Gotti's Way, Forever Is Just a Dream I believe is said in the lyric. Also, I would be more than tickled if she did All Is Well and "Moneymaker" if that single still exists and wasn't turned into one of the new songs from Rabbits, which I doubt it would've been. =)

I think she mentioned a song Virgin radio about ghosts and I think a lighthouse. Fingers crossed for that too.

However if my dream is realised and it does have unreleased and/or unheard songs, I demand that it must have a physical copy. No digital only please!

I just tweeted R&T about whether they could reveal any content and they said 'not yet!' hopefully they and V are plotting something wonderful like the chocolates.

I don't think we'll get an album full of the cover recordings she did, since they were done very low-fi. But on the other side I don't see the label releasing kind of out of the blue new material (or never before released materiel) since they made such a fuss for Rabbits and were let's say undecided about the release date :P I think we're gonna wait a bit longer for "new" stuff and that it will be largely announced. My guess? I don't wanna be a bride + the 3 itunes bonus tracks.

I second this. Lately, I've been thinking of a new, shiny vinyl that includes a few of her exclusive covers, or different arrangements of her singles off ROTR.

I would be amazed (in an awful way, of course) if the EP was Bride and the three bonus tracks that are already on sale. I mean, that would literally be the stupidest thing they could ever, ever do. Not sure Razor & Tie is above doing the stupidest thing they could ever do, but I like to hope if they put out a whole new product, it will actually have new material on it.
V mentioned that there were songs that were left on the cutting room floor because they weren't perfect for the album, so maybe the EP will be Bride, an acoustic version of Bride, and one or two of those. If it's a digital only, then my guess is it will also come with the Bride video, as well as a "making of" video or something along those lines. I just can't imagine they would phone it in THAT much to give us something we already own.

I've been looking around for even just the smallest of news on this EP, but there's nothing. Even tried searching for info on Nicole's to see what they're doing with hers (maybe it'd give us an idea of what V's will be like?) and still nothing. :(
I'm with the people hoping it's not a "Bride" bundle (don't think it will be anyway though) and want it released in a physical format.

Christmas is my favorite holiday and I love to hear GOOD christmas music that's not cheesy but just puts you in the mood for the season. I can't wait. I really hope there will be an original song. that song we heard on Irv Gotti had this christmas feel to it in my opinion, I also think that More than this (or even Hear the bells) has a christmas vibe, but I wouldn't want another version of this song, it's already perfect.

Even though I was pretty sure of this after her photo update, I was so happy when the official news was announced! Like, beyond ecstatic.

Yes I was thinking the same thing : it's gonna be delayed, won't be finished in times, etc and we'll get it in 2012, well at the end of 2012. Let's send all the good vibes and make it a hit when it's released. I'm kind of thinking about a digital release this year and then a cd (i'm not sure about vinyl . i think Vanessa only released Rabbits on vinyl because it was recorded analoguely (is that a word?) and I doubt the ep is, it would take way too much time) next year with maybe an extra track or something. that would be cool :)
EDIT : well of course I'd still rather have a cd release this year :p
