She's gorgeous! Another observation worth noting: V lost some weight! She looks like she's back in shape, must've been the dancing? I guess we'll be seeing her waltz through the graveyard ;)

The outfit is making me think of dance. Remember how we were doubting the lessons were for a music video, as we assumed Bride had already been filmed? ;)
But then again, it is just very V's fashion sense, so it might just be something she'll be wearing.

A Thousand Miles - her riding around on a piano
Ordinary Day - her wandering around a field
Pretty Baby - her walking around a house with occasional flashbacks
White Houses - her dancing
Nolita Fairytale - her hanging around the city with some occasional fantasy stuff
Hands on Me - I don't even KNOW XD
Carousel - her walking around a forest
Suffice it to say, most of her videos don't have stories except what we infer from the song itself. So I wouldn't be too surprised if HTB was similar in so much as it's just pretty imagery that kind of fits the mood of the song. That's what she usually does, it seems.

When I first read that I was just like "Yeah that'd be so good, I'd love to have a proper journey through the video" but actually on proper reflection, when videos do things like that it normally turns out really REALLY badly. I would be interested to know what the illness thing was about though, see where the song came from.

I agree. The "Carousel" video - as beautiful as it was - got old fast. There's only so many times you can watch V twirling around and running from tree to tree.
I'm looking forward to this video. Still disagree with it being released, but oh well.

There was a story in Pretty Baby! She tied him up at the end to keep him from leaving.
I think most ofher imagery leads to deeper levels of meaning, but yes, it can get boring after a few views.

Well, HOM music vid didn't have a plot either. Neither did ATM. WH did to some degree, but I could never grow tired of watching either of those three. Klasfeld directed both ATM & HOM, so I'm slightly disappointed that Bride isn't being released. And yes, Carousel was very pretty. Especially that leap during the final chorus! Davis hopefully will amaze us this time, as well.

Though I think I LOVED the White Houses video cos it was well... ya know. It fitted the story behind the song.

I definitely think she will be dancing in this video for two reasons - she's been taking lessons again, and in a tweet she said "must do Edie proud" and I'm pretty sure Edie was a dancer of some sort (maybe tap?)

Jake Davis has just tweeted that he is in Japan, directing a film. So do we reckon that it is filmed, in planning stages or not filmed at or and on hold until he returns? I'm reckoning planning as Vanessa said 'brewing.'

Grey Gardens meets Helmut Newton for Vanessa tomorrow.
I have a feeling the video will be set in a house similar to the one in Grey Gardens, with an overgrown garden, maybe a cemetery... and in black and white. This Helmut Newton character, if I'm looking up the right one, did photographs mostly in black and white and very provocative (sexually). So we'll see!

when I first saw the picture of her in the outfit I thought it was a reference to the picture she posted --the black and white photo of a girl on a roof and she had rabbit ears, but then when I was watching the documentary and knowing her mini obsession with Edie, I knew Edie was the actual inspiration for the outfit.

Im really disappointed....am I alone here? I just feel like this album has so much potential, even with an independent label. I thought Vanessa would push this thing since she's with a supportive label now. I love hear the bells, but I think Bride is much suitable single-wise.

Or maybe Im wrong...perhaps R&T wasn't what Vanessa thought it would be. I just find it strange that they make her keep a twitter but don't really try and promote the album much.

I actually think it's the opposite and Vanessa wasn't what R&T thought she would be. If Vanessa does a new album I doubt it's with Razor and Tie. This whole era has been such a mess. And it's not ones fault, just the way the industry is right now.

I seriously think she should've joined the indie bandwagon awhile ago. Labels just don't do much for many artists nowadays. I don't believe this era to be a mess, rather an opportunity for Vanessa to sort out her life. And we're just her "phantom friends" to support her in whatever she does.

Isn't that actually exactly what a fan does? LoL. I mean, if people didn't support their idols or what not blindly, would Chris Brown still be popular after what he has done? Or OJ Simpson (I'm sure he still has fans, though I have never investigated). Now, I know these are extreme examples but I think that being a fan means following blindly in a way. We don't have to like what they do, but..eh, that's just my opinion.

Also, typically the people who are chris brown stans just say they like him for his music and disregard his personal life. Sooo that's basically what I'm doing. V is great, but she hasn't been involved with the right people and it can be frustrating. I'm never going to blindly follow anything in my life, but that's my opinion. We don't all have to have the same views on V and how she is handled. I've driven countless hours to go see her, bought multiple CD's, etc. It's perfectly okay to not be happy with every single decision that has been made.

I understand you completely, and agree for the most part. But isn't loving someone in spite of your differences "following blindly"? I guess it's just semantics at this point. I wish some things were different about her and the situations as they seem to us, but what can we do but continue to love and support her? If we don't who will?

Heh I had a dream last night about Vanessa and it was her video. I don't remember much. (Why is it that you forget your dreams more as the day goes on? :( ).

Maybe we are just too impatient, but I am so lost, where is HTB?
I have to say, Vanessa is such a wonderful artist, I would wait another four years for this video, as long as I get to see it. OK I would like to believe I could wait that long, but in actuality I don't think I could wait until next week.

yeah, I think we were all wrong on our guesses. I even looked up Little Edie's brithday to see if she would release it to coincide with that...well I certainly hope she doesn't wait until November 7 but I guess stranger things have happened! I tried looking into if any other dates related to Edie that might give us a release date prediction but I couldn't find any date within the next few weeks. Patience.....

It doesn't make it any easier that she is very quiet on twitter for the last few days, and I think Jake Davis's tweet was very suggesting of an imminent release, which is taunting.

So excited, it appears that when Vanessa said that she may one day tell the media, it's going to be on her own terms in a very Vanessa way in her video. you know, I thought about that too.. however, usually when -aholics go into rehab or stop doing a drug they are advised to stop all vices including drinking, which I"m sure she has not stopped (fig in vodka anyone?). So I am a little skeptical of drug addiction, but it's still in the back of my mind.
