Surrounded by darkness
Fearing what woke you
Trick playing eyes
Make you frantic as you
Unfortunately recall
The Nightmare
Regulate your breathing
And look back and
Just remember
Don't make a noise as you

Gather the courage
Quickly paced steps tread lightly
Quietly as the room illuminates
Relax, breathe, and reflect as you

And the worst part I decided...
Was waking up alone
