do you like "This is the Night"? it gotten pretty big on kiis atleast. i just heard it the other day and it made a countdown tonight! i havent heard Ruben's yet tho. kinda weird since ruben was the winner... but maybe it's just the other way around in LA! :)

Holly thats what happened here aswell, the loser of Pop Idol here became the most massive star in the UK and the winner kinda got pushed to the side. UGH, its all a scam anyway because even people outside the top 10 got record deals here- completely saturating the market.

it's just the song he sang at the finals.... that song is as much his as "Flying Without Wings" is Ruben's single. that song was originally sung by Westlife.
"This is the Night" is his first single.

I'm very impressed by it... I think it's a great song. I read the thread where someone said it was "Bridge" and was very afreaid.. I'm glad to know thew real first single is This is the Night... he really nailed it when I heard him perfom it.. and According to presale figures it was #1 two weeks before the finals while Reuben couldn't even break the top 50...

yay! i thought everyone was gonna hate this song just cause it's from and american idol artist and people dont seem to like it here. but i'm glad to see there's 3 loves and 1 hate! :D
i just love his voice, you cant deny he has talent! lol, i'd love anyone who could sing like that! i'm a "claymate". lol, thats what theyre calling clay fans on the radio

I wanted to add.. I was going to pick it up when i was at Best Buy today... and i went to the Display:
Spots Where Clay's Single Should be = EMPTY
Spots Where Reuben's CD Was = Completely FULL
so I tried in the main section... and again the Clay Aiken section was empty.. and just for fun.. looked int he Reuben section... guess what.. all there... lol...
Soo.. you'll never convince me all those misdials were real misdials... i say it was rigged.. and the record sales show it...

I saw both Clay and Ruben perform their new singles on Oprah the other day (Ok, I watch Oprah sometimes, sue me, lol) I liked both of them. They are each so much better live then just on the radio or whatever...both Oprah performances were awesome, they both did great, even tho I don't like Clay. But yeah, both of their performances were like all spiritual, it was wicked, LOL
I'm not going to be buying anyof their singles tho, even tho I adore Ruben, I'm just not into that stuff that much to buy it.

yeah... i bet its rigged too!! not only do record sales, radio plays and votes show that Clay Aiken is the favorite, but also did you look at the signs in the audience when the show was going on! maybe it was just me, but i saw more Clay signs!

OMG, I was watching one of those entertainment shows like Extra or something, I forget what it was...anyways, there was a poll somewhere like an MSN poll or something (Sorry, I can't remember anything) and 90% voted for Clays single, and only 10% voted for Rubens. Poor Ruben, LOL

my dad was telling me about an article that said there might have been something wrong with the american idole computers and clay might have been the real winner.
And an article I read said that the only reason why reuben(sorry spelling) was because he was black and they didn't want black people complaining saying "You don't pick up because we are black". Ahhhh what is the world comming to...people have way too much time!
