It's about a regular guy who's a school teacher who starts dating a famous actress.

You'll probably recognize the actress from the movie "Meet the Parents".
Her name is Teri Polo.

And we can all remember what happened to one of Marco Pennette's shows (Caroline in the City)... it was cancelled, and even worse, in the middle of a cliffhanger episode, argh!

Meanwhile, while setting up an Oscar voter's campaign at the Motion Picture Retirement Home, Cheri is mortified to meet a woman who has been her movie star sister's assistant for 60 years, and Stevie forms a bond with the elderly residents and finds himself taking on some of their traits.

Post by: emmy on February 25, 2004, 08:06:24 am: they've been airing new eps for the past three or so weeks! they've had this whole alex-nominated-for-an-oscar eppy arc... pretty good actually, except they had joan rivers guest star in a couple of them. ICK!!!! I hate that lady.

but aaagh, last night they had alex's mom come, and she stole cheri's ticket to go to the academy awards, but cheri went anyways as a seat filler. the ep ended right as they said 'now the nominees for the best actress' blah blah 'and the oscar goes to.........'
