He couldn't play with life
He'd been given a bad hand
He had to fold
but couldn't understand
-why?-

It's not his fault
But who is to blame?
Just can't tell,
Where the trouble came
-from-

It makes no sense.
shouldn't it though?
At his own expense
Wouldn't get
Anything!

Messin' in the dark
lookin' for hope
Gettin' twisted up
Like an old rope

He can't take it
but who can?

-Only Jesus Christ can understand a life like this-

With life like this It's hard to see
what he might miss...

He's trying to find,
to find something
to keep him from
losing his mind
