Title: "Never Knew" about being cheated on and not knowin

This is about being in love with a girl and finding out MONTHS later that she had cheated on you with her ex. It gave me the kind of sadness where I couldn't even eat for days. Gut wrenching pain and fear and uncertainty.

I can't believe you
I can't believe I was so blind
I know I should trust people
but that was so unkind

You told your stories and I believed you
Now you're off like I never knew you
I took up for you and even lied for you
Even though I didn't know it at the time
I thought you were true...

Now I know the truth
That's the worst part
How could you lie like that?
Broke my heart apart

all this time I've waited for
whom I thought was you
but the person you are
I never really knew
Or maybe I did and didn't know it
and wouldn't admit it
It just didn't fit
It didn't seem right
I couldn't just quit
that easy over night...
