when i try to post a new image, they don't show up... see, like this:

I see one of my sig things doesn't show up either...
but it used to have .img at the end
I don't see that now

well if anything an image usually ends with
(http:// http://www.blahblahblah.com/[b]blah.jpg[/b])
or
(http:// http://www.blahblahblah.com/[b]blah.gif[/b])
or
(http:// http://www.blahblahblah.com/[b]blah.bmp[/b])

it might be cause there is something in the http:---------lalalblahlballha.com/slkjasdksdf that breaks the [img] code thingy!

it might be cause there is something in the http:---------lalalblahlballha.com/slkjasdksdf that breaks the [img] code thingy!
but there's an image in my sig, that has none of that stuff, and that's not showing up either...

Due to some creative abuse of the img BBCode which was diccovered by the authors of the forum software, images are currently restricted to the following extensions: jpg, jpeg, gif, png. If the img tag doesn't end with that, and has anything else after it, it'll just be printed verbatim. Reading up on the whys of this change, I do have to agree with it. We can add additional extensions if needed, but I do have to concur with the developers on this adjustment: it makes sense.
Tech explanation of the why of the change:
[img]http://forumname.com/forum/login.php?logout=true[/img]
That little snippet in someone's img tag would just spit out a broken image tag, and also log the viewer out of the forum. Not exactly a desirable effect. This is just one of the tamer possibilities available, I can think of much more interesting end-results.

images are currently restricted to the following extensions: jpg, jpeg, gif, png.
thats weird, cause my sig was always .bmp
and it worked all up till today cause i just updated my profile

no matter what i did photobucket wouldn;t change it to jpg
so, by mericle, i discovered i still had a boomspeed account 8O :razz:
so..yeah, its on there for now.. :roll:
