That's why I haven't been around for awhile. I have to type with one hand because when I got hit by another car it shattered my elbow and broke my shoulder. I have some problem in my neck and spine that makes it hard to sit up or even get sleep at night. The pain pills don't help much at all. I hope when I get all the staples removed from my arm tomorrow that some of the irritation will stop. I'm really blessed. Somehow my little car kept me from getting hurt worse than I did. This jeep suv came all the way from across the other side of the hwy, crossed the middle with a ditch and still got up into on coming traffic and slammed in to the front driver's side of my car. It landed upside down behind my car and was barely missed by a semi.
I was in the hospital for 4 or 5 days and have been stuck in one position basically since I got home last Tuesday.
Hopefully since the wreck wasn't my fault their insurance will pay for my medical bills that are about $10,000.00. My Mazda mx3 is history so hopefully I will get a little bit for that as well.
What really sux is that I have missed so much class and I don't wanna get behind at the very end of the semester. I have been out of work and don't know if the insurance will pay for that either.
Well I hope to get back here soon. I gotta go for now cuz it hurts.

God I'm sorry Alecs, I hope you get better, and things in life get better, I dont know what else to say...
your such a wonderful person and you don't deserve what happened, and I know that you will get through this because you've got a positive outlook on things.

Thanks everyone. I had the staples removed yesterday and had a zillion more x-rays and the most painful catscan ever. They wanted me to stretch my arm out flat in front of me while laying on my stomach to go through the tube to be scanned and my shoulder is broke so it was impossible. I had to go around to the other side and lean into it. It was painful to say the least. It took forever.
I'm going to get a rental car today because parents said the insurance will pay for it. I don't know if I can even sit up to drive though.
No one else in the wreck was injured if you can believe it. My airbag worked and man do they ever smell weird. I know you aren't supposed to move after the accident until the ambulance gets there but my car was still running and making aweful smells so I used my good arm to open the passenger door and drug myself outta my car in case it was gonna catch on fire or something. (I lost a best friend that way in 1998)
I have surgery again on Friday since the x-ray shows one of my bones didn't stay the way it was supposed to and is sticking up in my arm. The 10 screws and plate are working well though. The x-rays looked so odd. :?
well gotta go for now cuz my back is killing me. Thanks again for all your support and prayers.

I know people get busy and have other things to do or what not but Alecs was one to always make time so I was worried.
Airbags are scary. I have seen people get busted lips and black eyes from them. The main problem with that is that people have the steering wheel angled up. You need to make sure it is at your chest to stop you and not your face.
Best wishes Alecs, get some rest and don't push too hard. All that healing takes time.

Woah. Man, Alecs. I hope you're okay... I mean, I know you're not "okay" but you're alive and really that is something to be thankful for. I dunno what I'd do without my man Alecs around to drop me a line once in awhile... I'm glad to know that you're on the road to recovery, hard though it may be. Take it easy, and don't push yourself too hard.

With the incident of me going approximately 100 km/h(65 miles per hour) backwards on a three lane freeway, a few months ago, I expected to end up dead or something like you. I was soooo lucky. It was at about 5am in the morning so nobody was on the road. I posted it in my livejournal. That is kinda why I responded like I did.....you should be a stuntman....and such..... Your story is amazing. Direct hit by oncoming highway traffic. With Lostdwarf's story a few years ago, I think NESSAholics must have some kind of luck or something when it comes to driving and surviving the most serious crazy accidents. blah
