I love her voice!!! September 9th her followup album is slated to be released. Its a long way off but it should be really good!!
I really hate to admit it, but I discovered her thanks to Eminem.

Gotta love the pics :). The first one is my fav. And yeah, the sample on "Stan" was pretty cool. I actually knew the song before the sample, but thanks to Kev I actually got more Dido songs :D. She is cool.

i really like her, i don't think you can listen to her album too many timesthrough because her voice gets a bit sickening. Some songs i just love though and its just typical that she's English and the Americans found her before us- yes, we can spot talent!? i think...lol

We wouldn't know talent if it jumped and smacked us in the face, well a lot of us anyway. I like Dido a lot as well, I too first heard her thanks to that man Eminem (I would imagine a lot of people did). Her album's great fav tracks are Take My Hand and Slide

Yes! Thats my fav to! Dido was recording stuff a few years before No Angel was released with a UK trance act called Faithless, she's always sung a lot of the vocals for them.

No Angel came out in 1999. "Em-Stan" happened in 2000 I believe.
Either way, Dido2 is long overdue!!!

DIDO has finished work on her second album, "Life for Rent," due September 9th. The album is the follow-up to her multi-platinum 1999 debut, "No Angel." As with "Angel," the new album will feature production by her brother, ROLLO of FAITHLESS. "When I make a record all I'm ever trying to do is make something I want to listen to," Dido told Rolling Stone. "I'll never as long as I live write a song about what it is to be famous. At that point remove me from this life because I've lost it."

Awesome! I've been addicted to her music ever since I found out that she sang the theme song for Roswell... I got her album for christmas in 99. That album was the soundtrack to my Senior Year in HS.
Personally, my faves are Hunter, All you Want, and Isobel.

you know whats weird? there was always this one part of the stage that seemed to be dangerous! like Dido when she was walking over it she kinda slipped but didnt fall, Mya cut her leg there, and Jewel fell flat on her ass there. i know thats random... but i just thought of it, lol.

I just watched her performance on Kilborn. It was acoustic, just her and the guitar player.
Last night's Leno with the full band was much better. I get bored with just the guitar player. I've seen her do it that way several times now.

I saw Dido perform "White Flag" acoustic on the Sharon Osbourne show, and I have "No Angel", darn good CD. I have the "No Angel" sheet music book also, most of her songs are pretty easy guitar and piano. But overall, she's an awesome musician, and I <3 her!

O-right. I don't believe I've posted about my love for "Life For Rent" yet, but I have talked to BV about it. It is so awesome! WAY better than No Angel. My favorite song is definately "Who Makes You Feel", followed by "Do You Have A Little Time". All the songs rockkkkk, but those two are the best.
I think it's much more sexual than I expected. Almost every song is about making love ( 8O at "Stoned"'s lyrics). It's cool though. I expected a mention of sex, just not a CD about it. Kinda like me expecting "Fallen" to be gothic, but not THAT gothic (it's still # 3 fave cd).
I like it, it is so relaxing. I noticed that she works with a lot of the same writers that Jewel does. She kinda reminds me of a British Jewel (but not as good).

How nice to be able to report a happy ending for a change. In the whirlwind that followed the success of her first album Dido split up with her fiancee and boyfriend of seven years, Bob Page. Bob was the guy she wrote 'Thank You' for.
After a fling with producer Ferdie Unger-Hamilton, Dido has apprently realised that Bob's the guy for her after all and they're quietly dating again. A source told the News of the World: "She's always loved Bob and they have a lot of history together. It's far too early to say whether the engagement is back on. They are taking it slowly."

I just have to say...
I HUGGED DIDO!!!
But I'm getting ahead of myself
I got to the venue a lil before 6, I was the first one in line. Outside there was the KISS radio people, one was on the phone doing a spot: "We're here outside the Paramount for Dido tongiht, people are lined up down the block (other staff ppl hollar) come on down!" Keep in mind, I was the ONLY one in line at that point! lmfao! no one was in line down the block!
So anyway ppl started showing up and they opened the outter doors at 7. I kept watch for Karmen (rock247music) but didnt see her. They opened the inner doors to the theater at 7:30. I stayed in the lobby till 7:50 howing to see her but finally I went to my seat.
Aqualung was supposed to be the opening band. But onstage was one dude with an acoustic guitar. He was the younger brother in the band and the background guy. After 2 songs he explained the older brother and frontman for the group got a call from London from his wife saying her water broke and he flew home. So the younger brother decided it would be fun just to do it solo. He was actually not bad, and he kept things pretty light, made some jokes. It was fun.
After he finished, Karmen came over. Finally got to meet her after all these years! lol We didnt get to talk very long because it was only between sets. But she was pretty sweet, hopefully have more time at a future show.
So then Dido comes out on stage. She was absolutly beautiful. She wore jeans and a white sleeveless see-thru sheer top. mmmmmm Saying she looked sexy is an understatment. When she sang she would sway her hips, I melted.
I wrote down the setlist, got some details on a few of the songs too.

After the show when walking out I briefly saw Karmen again but she had to leave right away. I went to where the busses were parked. There was a few people waiting. About 5 were "professional autograph getters" like for ebay. They were actually pretty cool guys. After about 45 minutes Dido came out to sign stuff! There was 21 people waiting. She signed, took pictures. There was one handicap girl, no more than 4yrs old she spent a couple minutes with. When she came to me I had her sign my liner notes AND I GOT A HUG!!!!

POP beauty Dido has revealed the greatest love of her life - hot, steamy sex...and lots of it.
The raunchy singer admits: "I think sex is one of the greatest things in the world.
"I do love sex. I'm very open about it, I just love it. It makes you happy."
And in an amazingly frank interview, the 32-year-old star reveals how her bedroom exploits seem to just keep getting better.
"I feel very relaxed about it," she tells Elle magazine. "And I've got more that way as I've got older. You know what you want and you really enjoy yourself and you feel free and you feel open."
She adds: "It's true what they say about women reaching their peak later in life. Sex becomes less tied up with emotions and relationships, and more about having a good time."
Dido - real name Florian Cloud De Bounevialle Armstrong (no wonder she changed it) - says she has always been open about sex, especially when she was younger.
"You're well up for trying everything at that age, aren't you?" she says. "But practice makes perfect."
Dido had a seven-year rel-ationship with lawyer Bob Page before an on-off fling with record label boss Ferdy Unger-Hamilton. They recently split after a brief reunion in the spring.
Ditching her usual jeans-and-T-shirt look for a sultry pink outfit slashed to the waist, the London-born millionairess insists: "I've always tried to keep people focused on my music, not on me.
"I love this dress, but I can feel sexy in very simple things. For me, that's classier. To keep it to myself. Keep it private. Save it for the bedroom."
Dido says she has not completely ruled out motherhood. But she admits: "I see friends who are pregnant and think, 'Wow! This is going to have to be an accident if it's going to happen to me'."
In the meantime she says she's happy to be carefree and single. Asked how long she could manage without sex, she replies with a grin: "I've never tried it before...I'll let you know."

The pair will take on a cover of "I Eat Dinner," originally recorded by Rufus' mother, Kate McGarrigle. The album is due Nov. 16 and will also feature Sting revisiting his 1987 hit "We'll Be Together," this time with Annie Lennox.

that´s gonna sound so cool! I have the first 2 soundtrack cds they were fun :)I´m also really curious about the movie and the changes they did, since the book is outdated already cuz it talks avout Diana´s death lol .

My life is fucked..
The only singer that I like and have seen is the band " CPM22 ", because they're from Brazil, and they made a concert near my home.....
But I'm really crazy to watch the concert of Dido...... I will try to find her DVD around here

First KANYE WEST, now DIDO: Wunderkind producer and performer JON BRION has begun work on Dido's first album since 2003's "Life for Rent." As Brion told Billboard.com, "She wants something less glossy and further left. I think people have disregarded the emotional aspects of her writing, because the way the records have been presented make the music seem a little flat . . . I don't think people who know either of us would think it's the thing to do, and yet it's making total sense."

Dido: "Well, we have started recording the new record," Dido told us. "And, so far, it all seems to be coming together really well. I've been in the studio with a brilliant producer/songwriter called Jon Brion, who's worked with people like Aimee Mann, Kanye West and Fiona Apple. We're still very much in the early stages, but it feels great to be back in the studio and we're hoping we'll have the album finished in time for release next year."
