Did anyone else see the premiere last night? I watched it twice it was so good! It was like "Cast Away" meets "Jurrasic Park" or something. I can't wait for the next episode. I hope they play the premiere again so more peeps can check it out. I was on the edge of the seat as if it were a great movie and it's a tv show. 8O :D 8)
Plus ya gotta luv Pippin from "Lord of the Rings" being in the cast. :)

My Religion teacher brought this show up before classes started, and lots of people watched it. It sounded kinda gross, scurry, weird, so I don't know if it's exactly meant for me. My friend Paul told me about how they showed the pilots dead body... I don't think I would enjoy it very much. I might check it out though.

Yeah you should check it out. The dead body thing was like 3 seconds and it wasn't all that. The plot of the show is very catchy and entertaining. It's like a really good movie.
Brian, I was thinking they will probably show the premiere again because latley they have been doing that with every show that will be a hit (like "The O.C." which I've been raving about forever, which is already coming out on dvd next month, 8O woop woop. :D )
Some peeps watch a show. They tell their friends about it who missed it. So they show is aired again for those peeps and so on I guess. :?
Regardless, I love the show already and can't wait until next Wednesday to see the next episode.

Watched it last night. It was interesting.
There are lots of characters. And they all seemed to be fighting this episode. The next episode looks better.

There are so many things or situations going on at once which keeps it busy but yet seems to make the episodes go by much faster. Episode 2 was so good though.

but I'm a little confused and I think I missed something....
I believe I'm watching episode 1....Did it start off with Jack (Matt Fox) in the woods, then running to find the wreckage?
that's how the tape started, then the credits rolled...he was running around helping peeps, then they stopped to see what was going on in the forest....it cut to a commercial, came back, and they were in the plane...crash happens, cuts back to them on the island and then they go look for the pilot??
Is that the first episode or did I miss something?

I've been hooked on Lost since it started... I was behind by about 4 episodes until this weekend though. I have them all on my PC as avi's in hdtv so if anyone wants/needs them let me know. They're kinda big tho... about 400 megs i think.
I'm about to burn them to a DVD to ship to my family in Cali as they've missed most of the first season.
How do you know Kate killed someone to get in trouble?
I loved the last episode where Jack got stuck and she came running to begin digging... then ran up and hugged him. I suspect this is going to be one of those relationships that takes forever to unfold just to annoy me :)

I'm definitely hooked. This was a pleasant surprise. It's nice to see more shows besides from "reality" tv. I can't stand them! The only ones I like are the first season of MTV's The Real World and Osbournes. I even watch some of The Surreal Life episodes becuase I just find it so funny! The rest of the "reality" shows is just too ridiculous. Next thing you know we'll have every job positions as a show.
Next on ABC, "I want to be the next Helpdesk Manager for Georgia Southern University". It's nuts!
Anyway, Lost is a great show. Can't wait for tonight's episode. I usually tape this show while I watch Smallville. Then watch it right after. Smallville comes first, my favorite.

I can't believe how good this show is getting! Now there are other people on the island besides from the french woman. Not to mention that one of them has been undercover playing as if he was one of the survivors. Getting better each episode.
Smallville is getting really bad. I have no idea who writes for that show, but the plot line is getting really cheesy. I still watch it, but now I watch lost and tape Smallville instead.

Evengeline Lily gave a great performance tonight. I haven't been too impressed so far, but this was pretty good.

i haven't watched tonights ep yet... however there was a new dude introduced last episode (Ethan?) when they were getting everyones names. Then they got the plane roster and cross checked them... what they found is there were one/some people on the Island that were not on the plane... then they led you to believe one of these were Ethan. When the pregy started going into labor, Charlie had him "go get jack" but it would appear that he didn't cuz when they were walking back to the caves after the contractions had stopped they bumped into him and there was a weird exchange and Ethan looked psychotic. So i'm guessing he kidnapped them/took them/killed them something

Claire (the pregnant lady), was not on at all last night's episode. All you do hear of her is a scream in the woods and it had to be her since Jack was gaining on Ethan's tracks.
I can do a recap if you would like. There are also sites out there dedicated to this show and they recap each and every episode thoroughly.
It was a real good episode, a real tear jerker.

I watched it early this morning. I really enjoyed the Jack/Kate focused episode. I like that they're showing us more about Jack's character and really making the audience lilke Kate, but we can't help but wonder "what she did" at the same time.

I was just wondering though, what happened to the lady whose husband went to the bathroom on the plane... Rose was it? Was she the one that ended up drowning when Jack saved the boy and couldn't get out to her, or was that someone else? Or are they just not showing her anymore?

I had a discussion with Katia about this, and you're right, the lady that drowned wasn't Rose, because when she died Jack had mentioned that out of all the people stuck on the island, he had never gotten a chance to talk to her. And Rose he had talked to, so it couldn't be the same person.

i was happy that i had something to watch last night....
this episode was a little lower key than the past ones, but still good....the only thing it really needed was a scene where they're looking for Claire....they mentioned her a few times...but that's about it

If they plan to prolong the whole thing, and make it like they've been lost for years, then a baby would be good, because the character would be an obvious passage of time thing. Am I making sense?

Yeah, you're making sense. I don't know what people think of Claire. They probably don't mind that she's going to have a baby. I think Lost is going to be on for a while, so it'll probably be a few years

I know what you were referring to, but you have a point. It has only been a couple weeks on the show itself. But, if Lost is on for a bunch of years, a lot of time will end up passing, so who knows?

0_0 I can get something out of every episode! They're tying them all together! it is so interesting.. it is like a huge puzzle and if you miss one episode you're missing a huge piece of the puzzle!!! Very interesting!!!
There are specific characters i tend to favor over other ones so some episodes i prefer more but there has yet to be one i "didn't like"

Locke is probably the best character on the show. He's kind of like the voice of reason.
I think Claire, even when she was pregnant, is very cute. :D I like her character as well, and I'm glad she finally had the kid. It was sort of like a transition, the end of one persons life, the beginning of another...

i dunno, i thought that the boone death ep was kinda corny. though I did like last night's ep, jin and sun reconciling their differences and everything.
Things I was wondering... is Ian Somerhalder's name still in the credits? If Boone is dead, and technically out of the show, why not take him off? Or is that a reference to the fact that he might come back every now and then? Obviously not alive, but at least in various past/background sequences, like there was one last night.
Also... this science teacher... he's had a part in two episodes now... I wonder if he will become another one of the more main characters, now that Boone is dead and Jin, Sawyer, Michael and Walt are gone on their raft.

Yeah, I was thinking something exactly like that would happen. Either that or they stumble upon some other place or part of that island or another where other survivors of the crash are... like remember Rose's husband, who she is certain is alive, but just somewhere else? Because if the raft is successful, then there really isn't much point to the show... and since it is rather popular, I'm sure ABC is going to run with it as long as possible.

I really hate Shannon, but that part with her, Walt and the dog was nice. Probably the only scene where I didn't obsessively hate her. The sad part was when the dog started swimming after the raft. :cry:

I think the part you missed was when Russo took the baby and when they were trying to bring the dynamite back the monster grabbed Locke and was pulling him into the ground and Locke wanted to be let go.

Yeah, I saw Rousseau take the baby... I think the part when it cut off was right as the "monster" was going to get Locke. So that whole part ended up being a half an hour? And I think I missed something that explained the conversation between Kate and Jack right as Locke was about to light the dynamite. Something about her being on his side because there was going to be a Locke problem? What was that all about??

Locke had a discussion with Jack about destiny, basically saying that there's a reason they're on the island. The island brought them there together. He explained that he thought he would be okay if the monster took him because he had faith. Jack also asked him if he liked to play games and Locke said yes.
There was a flashback where Paik sent an American guy that spoke Korean and told Jin he was there to watch him to make sure he delivered the watch and told him he never was and never would be free.

Yes. As the other doc is telling shannon and the evil step-mother Mr. Rutherford died, Jack walks behind him. He's in the frame for about a second. And in the season premire in one of the flashbacks a nurse or someone says the guy who died is named Rutherford. Oh those writers!!!

you are quite right. this wednesday's ep will only concern the tailies. Damn, that means an hour of Ana Lucia. I hate her. Not just because of her character but because there are so many better actresses than Michelle Rodriguez who could play that part.

I just got caught up tonight and I have to say I LOVE this show. I've been addicted to it for the past two weeks. Whenever I come home from work I'm like, "Screw everything! I just wanna watch lost!" The last episode, "What Kate Did", confused me a little though. Does Kate love Sawyer or does she love Jack? And what was up with the horse? Is the horse to Kate like the boar was to Sawyer? I love Dominic Monaghan even though his character on this show is a little annoying. I think Dom's awesome and it's cool that him and Evangeline are dating in real life.

Oooh can't wait till next week. I'm really disappointed that Charlie is contintuing his use of herione. Hopefully he'll kick the habit for good this time. It was really sad that Jack's wife was a cheating ho, after all he'd done for her. He should have hooked up with the Italian chick; she was much better looking.
My boyfriend thinks that Locke and Claire are going to hook up. I don't see that happening though. Locke has man-boobs.

Brian, what episode did you see last night? Because what I saw bored me to sobs. I was expecting much, much more from Charlie's flashback. After the superb display of Mr. Eko's baggage (and even the last one about Jack) I was really let down.

ps- did you see the manuscript was called Bad Twin??? There are sooo many twin theories out there and I think that the writers may confirm it soon. They are also releasing the manuscript as a book as a tie in with the show.

Yep. "The Whole Truth." I really like hearing about Sun and Jin's backstory. I hope Jin isn't going to be mean to her anymore. That was so funny when Sawyer came up to Jin and said something like, "How's it going, daddio?" And later Jin realized what he meant.
I hate that guy in the hatch. He just weirds me out and he has to be an other.

I doubt The Others would want the missles to launch or island to blow up or whatever happens when the numbers arent entered so it makes sense that Henry would help him. Plus Henry would be the only one to know how to undo the doors, off in some other room.
And all that shit written on the door, man the production design team was waaay too much fun on that show. hahaha

Here's my theory about last night
So now we know for sure Henry is an Other. It makes perfect sense he would help Locke because he needed to keep up the charade. But then his brilliant plan came unraveled because Sayid is just too good. But, I don't think Henry knew how to put the doors up. My theory is that the alarm and countdown woman's voice and the doors closing was supposed to be a signal that Dharma people were making a drop (meaning the food Kate and Jack found when they ran into Sayid, Ana and Charlie). Of course Locke didn't know what it meant because Desmond wasn't there to tell him and never told anyone this would happen, and Henry couldn't say anything because he was really an Other. Henry knew why the doors came down, but, the doors went back up because the drop was done, not because Henry did anything.

I agree Michael could have been brainwashed. Or, he actually made contact with The Others and he made a deal with them. They would give him back Walt if he went back to the hatch and "took care of business" for them. He definately framed Henry, and the look on his face when he shot Libby looked like he wasn't planning on killing her.
I can't believe that episode. Anyone catch that commercial to call a 1-800 number for The Hanso Foundation? Apparently there is some nationwide LOST game fans can play or something to that extent.

I can't believe that Fenry (fake Henry Gale) is like the head of the others. Some people on the ABC Lost boards think that he's Alvar Hanso. It's a possibility but I don't know.
Have you guys been keeping up the new websites that they make each week for Hanso? It's pretty fun unlocking all the secret stuff on the Hanso site. I'm not sure if any of it means anything yet but it's entertaining.

It does resemble him, but JJ and Damon have said that it is not Matthew Fox and that the resemblence is coincidental.

It's crazy how much this show has changed by having so many things stay the same that we didn't understand fully when we first started watching this show. I loved it then not knowing everything, and still do. It just proves you don't have to understand something completely to be totally curious and entertained by it. Or for that matter LOVE it!!!!

I never had forgotten about the powerline into the ocean. I'm glad they finally explained that. I figured there would be an underwater hatch.
the "city" at the beginning tripped me out too. It remineded me a lot of the first few minutes of S2 when you see Desmond do his daily routine.
It will be a good season.

Oh my gosh, I am reading all these "Lost" posts just now for the first time and now it's over! It's kind of like going back in time and seeing people's first reactions to it. It's pretty cool. I was (and still am) such a Lostie! I miss it so much! Was anyone else out there a die-hard Lost fan like me? :)

so let me pick your brain. They were dead the whole time?? And all the things that happened weren't "real"? Were they in limbo or something? How did they go back, did they really go back or was it still part of limbo or whatever they were in? I watched most of the series, except the second to last season because they just totally lost me (no pun intended). I watched the last season only because it was the last season and I wanted to know what the heck was going on! It was good up to the second to last season, in my opinion..the last season was ok, but totally bummed about the ending.

Oh, no! They weren't dead the whole time! It's just that, at the end of season 5, you know how the detonated the bomb? And they thought it would take them back in time to 2004 so the plane would never crash? Well, in season 6, it was split up into two timelines, i guess? One was what would have happened if they never crashed on the island, and one if the bomb didn't work, but took them back to 2007. And somehow (I'm not sure how though) the timelines were linked, like they were happening at the same time and Desmond knew it, because he's "special" and can go back and forth between them. So it was his mission to tell all the characters in 2004 that there was something more than the lives they were living, hence, he took them to the church at the end where they "moved on." So actually, in 2004, they all were really dead, but in 2007 on the island, they were still alive. But it's just like after all of them died they were ready to move on together and they had to move on together because of the relationships they established while they were living on the island. It's like they were always destined to be together, even if the plane never crashed on the island, kind of like the "universe-course-correcting" element they talked about before. I know I probably contradicted myself in this explanation, but it's what me and my Lost-obsessed friends have agreed upon. :D
I was pretty satisfied with the ending, even though they didn't answer a lot of questions, but I think the whole show was more about the characters and relationships, rather than details about the Dharma Initiative and other stuff. Oh, and I agree with you about season 5. It was not the best and I think the time-traveling element really turned people off. But all in all, I have to say it's the best show I've ever watched! :)
