What the hell? No Napoleon Dynamite thread? The DVD comes out today, and I should be getting it around the 25th (if you know what I mean). This movie is so ungodly awesome!

several friends recommended it, they must have been drunk at the time.
The only scene in the movie I enjoyed was the neighbor shooting the cow and the kids on the bus all scream.

someone just told me that it's not worth buying it either...he said the I would most likely enjoy and appreciate it, being the film fanatic that I am, but told me it's only worth a rental fee

It totally IS worth it!!!! I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a LONG time!!!! Everyone at school is talking about it, too!!!! We just got it for Christmas!!!! It's so awesome!!!! I love when Napolean is dancing in front of the school. It's freaking hilarious!

hmm i finally saw it. thought it was funny, but definitely a movie that's better if you're drunk and/or high. not that i'm condoning either, but you get the idea.

My opinion of good comedies are Kevin Smith flicks, Me Myself & Irene(yes it has Jim Carrey), Badder Santa, Shaun Of The Dead, Red Dwarf, Family Guy. Old School is pretty great too! Ever see Clay Pigeons?

this movie is sweeping the nation i swear.
atleast in the midwest it is. my dad has clients all over the midwest and they say their kids talk non stop about it.
i loved this movie. i've seen it twice now. good quotes in the movie. i die every time i see it. a couple of teachers at my school are obsessed with it, it's so funny. i don't know how many people i hear talking like N. D. this month

Red Dwarf is so good! Your typical BBC drama- and quite obvious humour which is probably why you Americans find it funny. I also find it hard to believe you will've got a lot of the jokes in Shaun of the Dead BV cos i heard it was a very english film.

I enjoyed the movie for one reason and one reason only.
The big dance sceene was BRILLIANT. I haven't seen 2 minutes of a movie that I enjoyed that much in YEARS.
THe rest of the movie was just setup for that ONE sceene, because it wouldn't have been half as funny without the back story.

no kidding. I was about to fall asleep after watching the whole thing until that scene came on. We are now in the process of helping my friend Tyler learn all the moves.
Did anyone pick up on the girl from that Andre the seal movie and Corinna, Corinna? i thought she fell off the face of the planet.

But you cant blaim her for taking a few years off to go to school and be a regular kid, now old enough to get back into acting and balance it better.

Okay, I'm not gonna lie, I was skeptical at first about it but.. I saw it a little while ago and cracked up... my roomie owns the movie soo I've seen it a good number of times now. I'm not obsessed like some ppl here are but I think its quite amusing :wink: hahaha

LAFAUNDA! and how he was saying how it was gettin serious because they talk 2 hours a day! hahah And he was all concerned because she only sent him head shots. And he got all gangsta too. Kip even talks funny.
And I love the way ND runs... he ducks as he runs... so bizarre.

Hehehe I love this movie. I could totally understand why people would hate it though, it's that weird kind of humor that only appeals to some people I guess.
It's really not even that funny during the movie, just thinking about all the stupid stuff after.
But OMG if you like this movie, you MUST buy the DVD. It has deleted scenes that are FREAKIN' AMAZING!!! They're really funny, especially the kickball one. I can't believe they took them out! In the commentary they said something about how it interupted the flow of the movie... and I was like 'What the heck?!?! The movie doesn't flow at all!!!!!'
But it's funny anyway...

This was a good film- hard to get in places and quite a love it or hate it film. Found some parts of it really hilarious, and others not at all.

I think the dance scene was the funniest scene and so was the part when Uncle Rico throws Kip's steak at Napoleon. I'm not addicted to it, but my 7th grade science teacher was. (I think he still is.)
